Posted January 31, 200817 yr Even though I don't think most of us would want it as third single (Angel is by far a better follow-up to PFOS), the song is already charting on the US...which is great for Natasha, obviously...and I wouldn't be surprised if it is released before Angel, especially as it was the most successful N.B. single in Europe. So, I am opening this thread so we can discuss whether or not it should be a single, and so on, and to keep an eye on its chart progress in the States. At present, Soulmate is: #3 on Bubbling Under Hot 100 (equivalent to #103 on Hot 100) #70 on Pop 100 #74 on US Hot Digital Songs Which I think is pretty decent for an album track. It can either continue to rise in charts (especially if it got some radio stations give it airplay) or it can slip out silently...what do you guys thinK?
February 2, 200817 yr I think it will but hope it won't. :P I think we'll see this pattern: US / UK 2nd: Pocketful / Pocketful 3rd: Soulmate / Either PYAAM or POYH 4th: Angel / Angel But I'd like to see... US / UK 2nd: Pocketful 3rd: Piece Of Your Heart 4th: Put Your Arms Around Me With the same singles in both countries. Edited February 2, 200817 yr by Jark
February 3, 200817 yr I want 'Soulmate' to be released, naturally as my favourite Natasha song and it doing brilliantly for an album track.
February 6, 200817 yr Author I imagine Soulmate will slip out of the charts this week, its absent from iTunes so downloads have gone down. Nevertheless, I think its pretty certain as 3rd single. I mean, the Bimbo Jones is deffo #1 material for Dance charts...actually, its better than the original, and I think could go a long way to boosting popularity of the song in the US (like Mariah Carey always has various remixes of her singles to boost chart success).
July 16, 200817 yr Soulmate on US Digital Songs this week: -- 59 BEDINGFIELD*NATASHA SOULMATE 21,676 +999% 1,445 107,071 :D
