Its pure snobbery and maybe if they did acknowledge him they would have to admit to being wrong about him in the past. Don't forget, Humble Pie is very rarely served in the world of showbiz and even less, eaten and swallowed.

Is Michael Ball on this site? I haven't the patience to wade through the dross that is here to find out for myself. He has a massive following in everything he does, on stage in a character, his albums sell well and as for as a solo artist in concert he sells out venues. I was still in the control room when he last played a local venue to me. I was watching the CCTV cameras and the queues to get in to the Hippodrome in Bristol to see him were mahoosive. If that were replicated for D ....

If Darius can have the same kind of following that Michael Ball has and John Barrowman is starting to achieve, that will do for me. Most of all though, I would love for him to have RESPECT. That commodity as far as Darius is concerned has been very thin on the ground.

Talking of who auditioned and didn't get through I feel certain that Ronnie Corbett, Paul O'Grady, Sir Trevor McDonald and Jeremy Paxman did not get a recall ...

There would have been quite a height difference there. He is a lovely man in a small package.

Ronnie would be fab in Guys and Dolls as Big Jules.

For Rhett I'll stick to.......... what was it again? ah yes................the sensational, brilliant, great, Darius Danesh!

Ronnie Corbett .... " Frankly my dear .. um, where was I ... ah yes, on the Golf Course ... I don't give a damn!" That man is priceless!

I think Baytree has it right though. I cannot think of anyone else now as Rhett ... I think the vision of Darius in a frock coat and stetson is almost as overwhelming as one conjured up some time ago with him as Col T E Lawrence in arabic robes.

The tide is turning against John Barrowman because he's become a bit of a media you know what and is never off the telly. He wants to return to thw West End in 2009 and is eyeing Barnum but unless he's given it on a plate, someone more talented might just shade him out. he doesn't have anywhere near as good a voice as Michael Ball. He made his reputation on his showmanship and stage presence.

The nearest I've heard Darius sing in either of their styles is Flower Of Scotland or If I Could. I think Darius would blow Barrowman out of the water if they both performed the same song in exactly the same style on a stage.

I can't wait to hear Darius unleash the power of his voice.

OMG no , not the blond hair!

Um noooo ... just the robes ... and nothing else ....

Some day, some production, I'm going to see Darius on horseback! Dreams do come true, even fantasies.

I'd be happy for him to sing almost all the songs..............he could narrate as well...perhaps a duet....not too fussy

It's Scarlett's story you know.

Now if Hollywood ever wanted to make a film of Rhett's story - Rhett Butler's People - we could recommend a very fine candidate for Rhett who lives just a stone's throw away.

It might be her story...........But I'm sure she wont mind standing there looking pretty.....
