I notice in the video where Margaret martin is talking shr says this is my first PLAY not MUSICAL , just wondering!!! did she write the music.

 

Yes it definitely says music by Margaret Martin but I think Gareth Valentine has worked on it since. On the video he's down as Musical Director and arranger

Just been onto 'whatsonstage.com' and someone has posted that Darius performed a song that 'blew the cast away'!!! so that definitely bodes well for at least one solo!!!! :cheer: :dance: I am just so excited......!!! :yahoo:

April seems ages away. I've never known a February go so slowly.

There's a post on the dress circle message board which says( I paraphrase) that rehearsals are going very well. Everyone is getting on great and the music is cool. Darius is brilliant and has an amazing song which blew everyone in the room away.

 

It's easy to find you don't have to be a member to read.

I am hoping we get a few more snippets from people in the know online somewhere, it is tantilizing!

You were right, megham. They were just waiting to get a full cast and let them break the ice and now the promotion's starting.

In reply to Julias post about D singing the song that blew them away, you should see th reply and from the moderator of the site too, they are determined to put him down. he says that when he hears the expression blown away he thinks a machine gun has the same effect.

It does - removes all opposition. This way is nicer though.

I thought he'd already removed al the opposition to get the role.

 

How petty can these people get in their rush to stick it to him? If it was said about anyone else, the post would not have been challenged.

In fairness the poster did say they had nothing against Darius....it was the saying 'Blown Away' that made them think of machine guns.

Yes but would he have raised that objection if it had been written about anyone else?

 

It's a very common phrase which would be used on entertainment sites of all kind.
