Darius is enjoying himself too much at these rehearsals and so is his Scarlett!

Rachel has posted 2 more rehearsal pics from Broadwayworld.

Please can someone bring them across. thanks. Its good they are on broadway world. does that the USA get to see them.
News is beginning to pour instead of trickle. It can't surely be too long until we hear our Rhett sing something, even a snippet, on some TV show.
Would he preview a song before the world premier do you think? I would be a little surprised if one appeared on tv, but I don't know what the form is. Any idea BT/Meg/anyone else?
If I were the creative team and knew there were cracking songs and that there was public unease about the nature and quality of the music, I think I'd trail some form of teaser.

Is there public unease

In theatre circles they're very suspicious because Margaret Martin is an entirely unknown quantity.
I did however notice that she studied at the royal institute of Music and ran some kind of music thingy..so she has experience of music, its not quite the healthworker turned writer scenario
What exactly has Margaret Martin done? I thought she had just written the new songs for the show, has she written the whole thing? Crikey, I was all happy and confident it had to be a smash hit success and now I am getting a little worried
I think she bought the rights to GWTW from the Mitchell estate..something she didnt think would happen, she seems to have written the musical based on the original book including songs - I don't know how much help in adapting it for stage or musically she has had - it will be interesting........................

Yes, but the truth always spoils the fun of the naysayers, so they ignore it.

It's like those who harp on about PI as if Darius had stepped straight off the PI show and got the call from Sir Trevor Nunn - as if he had no stage experience at all instead of having performed in all sizes of venue....... from arenas to stadiums, from Fauldhouse to the Albert Hall. Of course it also wouldn't be in their interest to mention his 2 previous professional starring roles in other musical theatre productions.

Trevor Nunn has a lot of experience. He has thought it worth 4 years of his time and a lot of work to produce the outstanding Musical of this time. I think I'll go with him. I worry about whether I'll like it but not the quality it'll be. It'll be quite something to see and i can't wait to see it. There's a lot of experience working on this show and leaks have been very promising.

I'm hoping to hear some of the music soon and would expect to see at least one performance of a number on TV before the opening night.

Will people be disappointed if Rhett misses out the 'Frankly', as in the book, will they tell everyone Darius fluffed his lines ?
I think a lot will have read the book and know what the line is in that - anyway, we don't know for certain it'll be misseed - even Dariius didn't know - he will now though
I agree, even though the show is to be based more on the book, I feel there is a very good possibility that the famous phrase will make an appearance at the end. In a way, I sort of hope it does :)
Not long now. The only trouble in reading the book is if I want it to remain true to it - knowing that it isn't. I can't even remember a Catherine in it. Cathleen, yes, but she's not listed.
