That's one puzzle which will be resolved by either the new programmes or the cast recording, whichever we get our hands on first.

Well, will the format issues be dealt with quicker and the brochure be out soon. So much has changed that the original pics wouldn't be valid as those bits may have been cut. It's well over 1hr shorter than the fikrst preview.

The album will take longer. Margaret says the final songs haven't been set in stone, Darius says that it's not yet been recorded, Aldo said that record companies were interested. It may take a while to get through.

Does that mean there may be new songs?

I'm Your man certainly sounded very different last week from the version Darius was singing at the "band" rehearsals on the documentary. I preferred the one I saw on stage.

So did I. I keep wondering if TCM aren't advertising the 'Making of' because so much has gone since then.

From what I gather Neil hasn't read his email and now he's in bed...and probably not search TCM or set anything.

Good job I've 2 sons!

I'm not sure that anything I saw in the documentary was missing from the show I saw last week. Isthere anything specific you're thinking of, megham?

Didnt he do a dance with a top hat on, which I dont remember in the show.
Doesn't do the dance though and the music has changed a bit - thank goodness. There were other bits as well but, I can't remember at the moment. I still haven't seen the same show twice.

Well from what you've said, I'll be seeing a slightly different show next time too.

One thing has been steady all along though - the title of this thread "Darius to star as Rhett Butler" which with the passage of time became Darius is star as Rhett Butler. Given the intitial negativity to his casting, that is quite an achievement.

I'm disappointed that 2 of his songs have been reduced but I can see that if Jill, Edward, Madeleine and others have lost songs, it's fair that D does too. I don't think the second lullaby should have been touched though.

Darius delivers his script so well and he's got good timing. I think he should be given more of Rhett's cutting witty lines from the book.

The second lullaby should not have been touched. For me it is the most moving and emotional part of the whole musical.
Maybe they thought that as Darius wasn't centre stage at the time, it wouldn't make much difference.

Well he should be.....it really annoys me the silly bits that are said by the waiting family and friends.

Do we really need those.....I think not.......

Of course, Melly's death follows the scene with Bonnie as it does in the film. I couldn't remember what was centre stage at the time. I was watching Darius - there's a shock .......Not!

Darius and Bonnie are to the left...looking at the stage.......and the friends waiting are to the right

Centre-ish............is the tale of Mammy going to Mel and her dashing with her napkin still in hand to see Rhett...speaks quickly to the waiting and knocks on the door to see Rhett and Bonnie.

After this ......don't they sing Alone first then Scarlett gets the telegram

...well of course Darius sings and whilst he is comforted by Mel the waiting come out with silly comments

Mel then asks for coffee and says the funeral is on and she is sitting with Bonnie over night

....how can they cut those heart beaking bits

It's the one really big mistake they made in cutting things. That should have been increased and the comments of the waiting - they shouldn't even have been there waiting, taking concentration from the scene with Bonnie.

A lot of the cuts are those which we suggested after the first preview - but that one certainly isn't.
