I usually hate January and February and I always get the blues at the end of January. It was so true this year, after all the annoying little niggles I've had........... until I came back on line and saw the top thread on .net - "Darius is Rhett!"

The surge of delight , sheer positivity, let me get those niggles into perspective and it's like Spring has come early for me.

The lovely weather really helps too. I'm hoping it's nice whenever I go and see GWTW.
I am just so excited for him and even if I dont manage to go I know there will be lots of photos for me to look at.
You just have to manage to go. It'd be a regret for the rest f your life if you didn't.

Maybe you'd have better luck with Via Voice. I bought that for my PC that had windows 98.

i thought it would be great -just say it and it magically appears on the screen......................

oh no it doesn't if you've got a Scottish accent ! I only used it for a laugh to see what gibberish it typed. i once said "hello" 17 times at different speeds and intonation and it didn't get it right once.

I think a keyboard with none sticking keys would help. I'd hate to think what the voice one would come up with for me. It'd also help if my keyboard was where I sit instead of just within arms reach.
I still regret not seeing him in Guys and Dolls..so I didnt think I could go this time without seeing it. Hoping there will be lots of lovely photos of him as I doubt we will get to wait at the stage door,

Why not? Do you know the theatre - would it cause obstruction?

They could always do what the "Joseph" people did - Lee Mead signed in the foyer after the show.

I've never been to this theatre - I'll go and look at it next time Nina and I meet up. Guys and Dolls made me realise how his acting had come on - not to mention his dancing. He was really good. Mind you, all 4 leads were really good and the rest of the cast as well.
It's starting early - which often means it's a bit longer than normal. They haven't even strted rehearsals, so they may not even know for sure.

All the old criticisms are being trotted out

Today it's the arrogant, smug, vain criticisms.

What vain guy would wear the same outfits over and over?

Yes Baytree I have seen them and elsewhere where someone hss replied about his acting ability and the meisener technique, it is immediately completely ignored and continued in the critical vein.. but it is hard for us to ignore especially when those people on a theatre board havent even seen him a nd yet they support other people who are so average.
It's ignorance. I think most people who read those boards know there will be petty prejudgements. Trevor Nunn chose D above everyone else. I just smile at that thought. It reminds me of the school playground a bit at times.
