February 12, 200817 yr I prefer the one he sang on the tour. Until recently, I'd forgotten how much I like that.
February 12, 200817 yr Author Do you mean Let There Be Love, the only Darius track on the Pop Idol Big Band album?
February 13, 200817 yr Well, if they could have given him none, I wouldn't have been surprised - wouldn't have bought it then either.
February 13, 200817 yr Author grapes sour enough to make vinegar not wine I didn't mind that Will and Gareth had much bigger sets than Darius. That was right - they were the finalists. Darius was next and should have got the next biggest slice of the pie. He should have had 3 songs in total and a duet with either Zoe or Hayley, not just the minimum 1 song in each half of the concert and 1 on the album. I'd have been worried about him getting into his stride with 2 songs and stealing the show too.
February 13, 200817 yr He is hard to ignore. Did he have the same songs in Scotland? They made him their headline act - did they let him have the ammunition to make use of it?
February 13, 200817 yr Author Sorry, I don't know. I think that was the very first time he did the dirty and came when I was away.
February 14, 200817 yr Author My sacrifice is everyone else's gain. Didn't I say quite a while ago that I'd be way possibly from mid April through May? At least this time he's signed up for so long, I can't afford to be away all that time.
February 18, 200817 yr Referring back to Baytrees original question about D, I had another theory as to why he could be being blocked via the tabloids etc. Did you know that Louis walsh, SCs sidekick manages two other westend male singing stars signed to the label SC uses. Im sure louis wouldnt like to see D forging ahead.
February 18, 200817 yr Author Sorry, Louis............................. stable door, horse etc. I think Darius has leap frogged into poll position with this role. It's hard to paint it in any way negative, no "everybody's done that" ( Billy Flynn), "it's just a tour" (Sky) comments this time - it's in the West End, he'll be the original lead in the production and he's playing a character which is so iconic both in literature and on film that scarcely any actors have ever played Rhett Butler.
February 18, 200817 yr I agree, if they rubbish Darius they rubbish Trevor, and he is a respected producer, in some quarters it has gone very quiet as there is nothing negative to say
February 18, 200817 yr yes, - I do hope it goes well, there are so many shows competing, I was reading Connie Fishers tour has been cancelled, reputedly ,according to the Observer to poor ticket sales..
February 18, 200817 yr Well, I'll worry once I've seen it - or celebrate. We just don't know what to expect. I've no doubt Darius is a good singer, actor and can take direction. The rest, I'm in ignorance of. As long as it's good, it doesn't actually matter if I like it or not.
February 18, 200817 yr Author Connie Fisher's tour was a concert tour based on Bernstein but it was very poorly promoted. I think they thought her reality TV name would be enough. "How?" if nobody knew she was doing a tour. I suspect most of the "Maria" audience probably think she's still playing Maria Von Trapp. Edited February 18, 200817 yr by Baytree
February 19, 200817 yr If they rubbish D they rubbish Trevor quote - I dont think it stopped them with the Woman in white but they will do their best. Anthony Costa (blue) has had a number of concert dates cancelled ue to poor sales. A link to the persian report has been posted you know where with surprise at things in it unknown.
