Alesha uses car parts for pop comeback

Alesha Dixon has used 21 car parts in the recording of her comeback single.

 

'For You I Will', originally recorded in 2006, has been given a classical remix using instruments made from various parts of the Ford Focus.

 

The Strictly Come Dancing champion will promote the single in a TV advert for the car, airing on several UK channels from February 4.

 

In the advert, Dixon is seen performing 'For You I Will' while an orchestra plays the song using instruments made entirely from Ford Focus components.

 

Dixon has been absent from the charts since October 2006, when her second solo single, 'Knock Down', stalled outside the top 40. Owing to the single's poor performance, the former Mis-Teeq star was dropped by her label before her debut album was released.

 

'For You I Will' will be available to download from February 3.

Personally, i loved her 2 previous singles and would hope this does well, but i havent heard it yet so...i think this could be a flop on an atomic kitten scale

This isn't really her new single. It's just for the advert and they thought 'why not add it to iTunes and see what happens.'

 

It's a good song though, I really hope she releases an album soon

What should be made clear is that this IS NOT Alesha's comeback single. She will be returning properly in Summer with completely new material. This is just a rehashed version of an older song which Ford wanted to use for the ad and which the public can download if they so desire - so how it does really doesn't matter. :P And from what I heard this version of the ad won't be airing on TV; it's internet-only.
