Posted February 3, 200817 yr The greatest hits cd suffered one of its biggest drops so far falling from #41 to #67 in its 14th week on the charts. Sales stand at around 390,000 which is an improve on Forever, but cleary not as good as Spice or SW. It has NEVER climbed in the charts, falling several places in its first few weeks before steadily leaving the top 40.
February 3, 200817 yr unless the price drops i cant see the album getting anywhere near 500,000 Its a bit embarrassing though to have to drop the price of an album when its barely been out three months! Usually its about a year after a release that you see that kind of thing happening - or at least nine months. Maybe its because all their fans already had the stuff and any 'would-be' new fans were so put off by Headlines they didn't bother with GH? It's one of those great mysteries of life. A true conundrum! Norma Edited February 3, 200817 yr by Norma_Snockers
February 3, 200817 yr Why do people think its dissapointing? this is the spice girls - alot of people already own all their songs! its really impressive I think
February 3, 200817 yr I really thought this would get close to a million :\ Not even close to HALF a million is shocking.
February 4, 200817 yr Why do people think its dissapointing? this is the spice girls - alot of people already own all their songs! its really impressive I think Yes Craig, but loads of people already had Take That songs but their Ultimate Collection can't be far off 2 million now, if it hasn't already passed that marker. I mean its back up to 29 (and its been full-price for the last two months). I thought SGGH would have been close to a million now. Norma When are you going to visit the TT board again?
February 4, 200817 yr Author i think im dissapointed because it did offer alot, for expample, you god own HQ videos to all the classic songs (only VF, H, LLLTW wer on the cd singles) and it is a nice collection of good pop. Girls Aloud have shifted 900,000 copies of there GH and they arent a patch on the Spicies!!! I remember victoria newton in the sun, saying in november, that Leona would get the number one, and the spicies would move up in time for xmas, and i thought the gigs in london in January would see a big rise in sales, but nothing! :-(
February 10, 200817 yr It's a shame. They shoulda lowered the price for xmas time/january sales. Shame. I wish I'd seen them live.
February 11, 200817 yr I think If they had put better new songs or more new songs, mabye a few unreleased songs, ALL the videos including 'Headlines' mabye a behind the scenes thing, just better things in general. a bit more effort put into it woulda been nice
February 11, 200817 yr Author i would be sooooo chuffed if the did a re-release in the summer CD WANNABE SAY YOULL BE THERE 2 BECOME 1 MAMA WDYTYA MOVE OVER SPICE UP YOUR LIFE TOO MUCH STOP VIVA FOREVER LLLTW HOLLER HEADLINES MEMORIES WOMAN VOODOO GOODBYE DVD (AS BEFORE) HEADLINES MEMORIES
February 13, 200817 yr i was surprised it wasnt top 75 last week,i was hoping it would do the straight 3 months on the chart
February 13, 200817 yr I think we all expected alot better :( eeeeeshhh! they better at least do one special show on tele before they p*** off!
March 25, 200817 yr They should have had a cd with all their b-sides on it that would have increased sales! Maybe even have got them to number 1! Maybe if they release a live dvd of the tour GH sale may come back a bit as that happened with take that! talking about prices lowered the GA album is £4.99 on Itunes for some strage reason!
March 25, 200817 yr sles wise of the greatest hits are very disappointing i did expect more but sometimes u can never tell how albums will do,when take that released their graetest hits i never imagined it would be so successfull yet alone sell over 1.5 million
