February 4, 200817 yr Author He's looking good. Hair maybe a little too coiffed (Americans style) and how could he not remember the "frankly, my dear..." line. He tried to dodge out of it diplomatically but Penny Smith saw through him. He said the audition was one of the hardest things he's ever done. Rehearsals start in a week.
February 4, 200817 yr I just heard it mentioned too that Darius will be on GMTV, cant wait to see him and hear him sing. :cheer:
February 4, 200817 yr Ah congratulation of getting that brilliant role Darius, he looked and sounded great. But I had hoped to see him sing? I am sure when they said he would be on, they showed him singing?
February 4, 200817 yr Perhaps he will sing another time after rehersals have started. It was good to see him and nice to know he's back here next week. I'm glad he managed to say about the audition process....may shut some people up.
February 4, 200817 yr I think the songs are pretty much still under wraps and as for the famous line, perhaps hDarius was trying to avoid revealing whether the script for that will be the film version "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." or the book version " My dear, I don't give a damn." The clip of him singing, was singing Colourblind on GMTV. Did Andrew Castle just say "All that and getting married too!" ? Edited February 4, 200817 yr by Baytree
February 4, 200817 yr They showed a clip previosly of him singing Coloublind. He was talking from New york. I thought he spoke brilliantly and informatively. It was amazing that he was up against so many big names for the part. He said he was shocked when he got the call. Well done Darius
February 4, 200817 yr Yes he did....say he was getting married Edited February 4, 200817 yr by SpamFritter
February 4, 200817 yr Not bad at all! Two little interviews and an invitation to come on again when he gets back. What was the acting technique he said he'd been studying in LA?
February 4, 200817 yr Interesting too about the embargo on him during the auditions. He probably felt rotten keeping everyone in the dark when they met up with him at the 10th Anniversary of Chicago.
February 4, 200817 yr Rhett's supposed to be 35 at the beginning and 45 at the end of the book. I can't wait to see if he grows his own ............ moustache that is and whether it's trimmed like Clark Gable's.
February 4, 200817 yr Sorry, Claire, I didn't record him. I'm not a morning lark at all. It's a wonder I managed to see him both times. Darius seemed to be a bit fuzzy headed too. He said in the first interview he'd found out 2 days before but by the second one he decided it was 4 days ago but to be fair he also said in the first one that he was still reeling from the news.
February 4, 200817 yr I missed it!! darn, but I am sure he will be on again - surely This Morning may have him on too at some stage?
February 4, 200817 yr I'm sure the cast including Darius will be doing a lot of interviews for press and television. Perhaps Sir Trevor himself will do a bit on the South Bank Show or something similar. Woudln't it be great if there was some footage from the workshop with Jill Paice and the search for her Rhett? It's definitely another rung up the ladder for Darius and I think there will be a broader range of shows which will feature him. I'm sure he won't forget old friends like Phil and Fern.
February 4, 200817 yr That was nce to see. I got a phonecall from Pam to say he was coming on. So, I dashed downstairs, rewound the ape (I'd had it going from about 6:40) and recorded the 8:30 one. I then came on the site and realised I'd probably gone over the first one. Rushed back downstairs. played the tape and found I had the 8:30 slot, 4 mins of rubbish and then the 6:50 one. Now that did please me.
