I always thought the Overlanders version of Michelle was very poor compared to the Beatles Rubber Soul original.

nonsense my friend! :P lol... the overlanders version is one of my all time favs.

I was not even born that year, but mother had a lot of those songs and still has, especially anything by Dusty Springfield

i reckon 66 was dustys best year.... although 'you dont have to say you love me', her only #1 was imho her worse track! 'goin back' (a cover of a byrds track) was her best, it was simply class.

 

'little by little' was superb, dusty doing her 'white' motown act

Daytripper, keep on running, lets hang on are my faves. I prefer Stevie wonders 70's stuff, that was him at his best imo
