Both of these marvellous club artists emerged hugely in the '90s... almost everybody here knows Free & It Feels So Good in a heartbeat but they've had a multitude of hits that made them exceedingly successful during their heyday. Sonique even won a Brit award in 2001 for Best British Female Artist. That's how huge she was! :D

As hard as it is to pick between these two, Sonique's had the better material. It Feels So Good, Sky, I Put A Spell On You, Alive, Another World, & Why are all brilliant & I love the Hear My Cry album so much... whenever I listen to it now, it makes me wonder why dance music today doesn't patch up to the Faithless, Sonique, & The KLF's of yesteryear. :(

"Desire" was outrageously overlooked in the charts :( So I'm giving Ultra Nate a sympathy vote based on that.
Sonique i love ' I put a spell on you' and 'feels so good'
Sonique - some great singles - but she was always a far better DJ than actual recording artist.

Sonique's song Why is one of the best pop songs of the decade! It's a shame it never got a release here. It might not have done much as it's much less house-sounding than her past stuff but it really is so good.

Her other later singles Alive, Another World and Sleazy are all also fabulous.

I never rated anything Sonique did! Ultra Nate, however, is wicked!

Skizzo: 'Sky' was atrocious - the lyrics were so rubbish!
