'frankenstien foods'?

hmmm.... should plants be genetically modified, adding beneficial dna into a food plant ? or is it messing with nature and a step too far?

would gm crops spread into the local flora and corrupt it?..

hmm... im not sure..

whilst there is a risk of contaminating wildlife, im not sure that introducing dna into a plant to prevent disease attck is a bad thing. after all, wouldnt that be a greener way then spraying crops with chemicals?..

I am against the idea

Tampering with nature is a bad thing because in the end nature will turn around and bite us

I can see the benefits to maybe somewhere like Africa where a lot of crops are lost etc but I would personally not want to eat GM food

The Indian Dwarf wheat thing worked, but that was rather a different story to what is being proposed now...

I don't agree with it, I don't think it is beneficial, well, except to the corporations that come up with various GM schemes, they'll coin it in....

..... but we have been tampering with nature ever since we discovered farming! cross breeding of animals/plants to produce a new bigger better speciese/variety has been going on for years..

what is wrong with the example i gave? making a food crop immune from insect/disease attack genetically thus saving the need for chemical sprays? or do you like eating scabby organic food?lol
