BACK IN THE UK

 

Will has just returned to the UK after his working trip to the States.

 

However, before coming back he was able to take some time out in New York where he took in some museums and galleries and a show at Fashion Week.

 

Will is now back home and ensconced in a studio, recording a shortlist of tracks for the forthcoming album.

What direction is he going for, for the next album?

 

We aren't really sure Tyler. We've heard a few rumours. One of Will's backing singers at the LN sessions said it was similar to his second album Friday's Child. Biff Stanard who produced his first album described it as 'old skool disco' & said it blow everyones's socks off. :dance: Looks like he may be working with a number of producers instead of just one as he has done in the past.

Hi Will I was very fortunate to see you perform at Ronnie Scott's recently, I thought you were amazing and you seemed in your element. Was it a dream come true for you?

 

Answer -

It was a dream come true actually and I really want to do more. I just think swing bands are so cool and you don't get to see enough of them and they're so infectious.

Just wondering Will - do you still do any drawing or painting? Have you been to any good exhibitions recently?

 

Answer -

I went to a really good photographic exhibition in Cornwall actually: a fantastic French photographer and an English one. I haven't drawn for ages, which is a shame because I love it. I should really start doing it again but I need the time, it's very relaxing. I always used to be drawing animals. I don't know why - I just find their shapes really interesting

Thanks for bringing them over TT, I hope one day Will will release a swing album, I doubt I'd ever be lucky enough to get a ticket to such an intimate gig like Ronnie Scotts. It does seem to cause a lot of friction when he does the smaller and limited ticket type gigs as well, such as the Little Noise concerts, which I've learned from first hand experience. :(

Following on from an appearance at the recent Elle Style Awards, Will is attending another important ceremony this spring.

 

 

 

He will be on hand to present an award at the glittering event on 20th February and will be walking on stage to something special....
