ok, the obvious bet would be Armenia at 6/1 or Russia at 4/1

 

I think the best outsider would probably be Switzerland at 33/1

 

I really can't see Serbia winning two consecutive contests with more or less the same song and I don't think Ukraine's song is quite strong enough to win...

 

I think the novelty songs will mostly flop with perhaps one in the low top 10/5th at the highest...

 

Sweden could be a good bet at 10/1 as its the fan favourite but I can't see it picking up many points from Eastern countries who are more likely to go for Armenia and Russia...

 

anyway I've put my £3 on Armenia which would bring back £21 if Sirusho wins...I might put some smaller bets on Sweden and Switzerland at a later date...

 

I think Serebro had a better song than Dima and I don't think the viewing public will care about the Timbaland's colleague production enough to win...solo females usually win the Eurovision nowadays and Sirusho's got to have the best chance really...

I might put a fiver on Armenia winning... Do they actually do the "novelty bets" in bookies though or do you have to bet on this sort of thing over the internet?? :lol:

my bets go to Iceland and Turkey.. the dark horses I reckon.

 

Russia & Armenia are also my favourites but I doubt I would get much back if I put a bet on them.

I can't see France finishing anywhere other than the bottom five...

Pretty much everyone I know reckons the top 6 will definitely be Russia, Sweden, Ireland, Armenia, Serbia and the Ukraine (in no particular order) - I wonder what the odds are on that exact result?! :heehee:

thing is, I've never seen the top 3 countries from the previous year all be in the top 5 the following year, so will people once again vote in droves for Serbia, Russia and Ukraine this year or will they be wanting something different...at the end of the day, Serbia have sent practically the same song again so it could finish low top ten like Greece did with Anna Vissi in 2006.

Wow....I'm excited about this. I've always been sad since I never really got to see Ireland winning the eurovision song contest. I was alive when Ireland won all those times in the 90's but I was too young to really notice.
