A disappointing blow for the Rihanna contingent yet again as Infernal claim a 4th consecutive week at #1 here on the BuzzJack Chart.'S.O.S' had in fact held a comfortable lead over most of last week while 'From Paris to Berlin' at one point slipped to #5 in the midweek placings,but steady high scoring in the last 2 days ensured the increasingly popular national Dance Anthem maintained a full month at the top,again mustering a 30+ point advantage.Yet the total points the song score this week is exactly the same number {213} it achieved on it's first week at #1.An omen perhaps ? Another bizarre chart,especially regarding the Top 10,as with last week where there were 8 Top 10 climbers rocketing up into the higher reaches,a similar event has occured this week,with no less than six healthy leapers knocking out most of last weeks Top Tenners to take their place. First of which,shooting up 13 places to #3 are The Pet Shop Boys,closely followed by Christina Milian 'Say I',which coincidentally mirrors it's position on this weeks UK Top 40 (#4) ,but here becomes our highest climber,up 28 places after hovering around the lower reaches of the Top 40 for the past month. Snapping at Christina's heels are three more female solo vocalists,Nerina Pallot rises 15 to 5,Nelly Furtado's comeback single 'Man-Eater' manages an impressive jump of 22 places up to #6 & huge sighs of relief & air-punching all round for the Shakira fans,as 'Hips don't lie' FINALLY cracks the Top 10 after 9 weeks of to-ing & fro-ing mid-table. LL Cool J ft J Lo bringing up the rear,another song entering the Top 10 from outside the Top 20 concludes the Top 10 assault this week. So all these female/pop/R'n'B acts barging their way up,effectively knocking the Rock-based groups back out of the Top 10,with this weeks highest entry courtesy of Matt Willis,'Up all night' debuting at #11 (from last weeks #53) and certain of a Top 10 placing next week due to a substantial points increase. Many more healthy climbers making good progress include Dannii Minogue,Keane,Sandi Thom (my tip for the top) and worthy of a quick mention Carola,who sneaks ever closer to the Top 30 with 'Invincible'. Plenty of entries,the highest of which this week is from Pink.'Who Knew' is the 2nd track from 'I'm not dead' and makes it's debut at #22.Sugababes close behind at #25 with the fourth track off 'Taller in more ways','Follow me home' enters at #25. Can either of these 2 new entries make a big impact in next weeks chart or will one of the big climbers (or even Rihanna finally) manage to knock Infernal off the #1 ? May 22, 200619 yr Author Cheers Mark & Ricky. ;) Yes,the Gnarls bubble has well & truly burst here on BuzzJack,coincidentally Embrace fell a similar way last week (#3 - #12) before dropping out of the chart altogether this week. Can't see 'Crazy' plummeting in similar fashion next week,the song is still falling slowly in a handful of personal charts (unlike Embrace who have disappeared from nearly all submitted in the past week) at least it paves the way for a fresher tune to become the next Buzz Jack Chart-topper. ;)
