February 11, 200817 yr fans of kylie are split with wow some love it(like me) and others dont like it all, however it on the chart 9 weeks and is elling well and will definitly outsell 2 hearts, she prob wont get number 1 with wow but wow will definitly make it to the top 10 and hopefully top 5 to make it her 15th consecutive top 10 hit since she joined parlophone in 2000 and wow im positive will be her 31st top 10 hit, sales will also be over 120,000 in total at the least
February 11, 200817 yr It's going to be a "Don't Stop The Music" case; popular track, will sell well, but will have sold too many before the physical release to grab a top 3 placing. Amd frankly, it wouldn't deserve to. Awful cheesy c**p sung by a nasal horse.
February 11, 200817 yr well u obviously aint a kylie fan shoat, yes i think wow will be a case of dont stop the music by rihanna, but once sales are good which they already are thats the important thing,
February 11, 200817 yr well u obviously aint a kylie fan shoat, yes i think wow will be a case of dont stop the music by rihanna, but once sales are good which they already are thats the important thing, No, can't say I am. Never has one person achieved so much on the basis of so little talent. Actually maybe Britney...
February 11, 200817 yr I know I'm in grave danger of repeating myself, but she is performing at the Brits on physical week which will be a phenomenal boost for it. I think it will at least match the peak of '2 Hearts' if not beat it, but either way it will sell a whole lot more in the longrun.
February 11, 200817 yr Sugababes - About You Now wasnt top 20 hit. My Chemical Romance Beyonce - deja Vu etc etc... Sugababes was #1 on downloads!
February 11, 200817 yr I think 'Wow' is a disgustingly awful song. Bleugh. :puke2: Dosn't deserve to go top 10.
February 11, 200817 yr Wow should increase a bit this week on the singles chart [it's up to #13 on iTunes] and then I'd say def. top 5 or even top 3 next week. Kylie still sells a lot of physicals unlike most artists these days and people will have a lot more options to buy Wow when it's released next monday. right now people are just downloading it straight from the album, there's no Wow single on iTunes, no radio edit, etc. I see Wow having quite a bit of staying power, it's still rising a lot on airplay too and she has a potentially great performance at the Brits coming up, not to mention even more press if she wins one of the two she's nominated for. here's all the Wow packages out monday: Parlo aren't holding anything back! CD1 Wow Cherry Bomb CD2 Wow Do It Again Carried Away Wow (Death Metal Disco Scene Mix) 12" Picture Disc Wow Wow (CSS Remix) Wow (F*** Me I'm Famous Remix By David Guetta + Joachim Garraud) Wow (MSTRKRFT Remix) Digital Bundle 1 Wow (Edit) Wow (CSS Remix) Wow (MSTRKRFT Remix) Wow (F*** Me I'm Famous Remix By David Guetta + Joachim Garraud) Wow (Death Metal Disco Scene Mix) Digital Bundle 2 Wow Do It Again Carried Away Cherry Bomb iTunes Exclusive Bundle Wow 2 Heats (Mark Brown's Pacha Ibiza Upper Terrace Mix) go Kylie
February 12, 200817 yr Sugababes - About You Now wasnt top 20 hit. Only a remix of the track was available as a digital release first. And I'm not even sure it was a full week release for this remix. And as for MCR and Beyonce, times have changed a lot since that period. Unless you make a charity record or so, the physical sales give no longer a big boost. Look at Rihanna, doing a 5-4 this week :(
February 12, 200817 yr This will be huge and i still have not tired of hearing it - Have heard all the mixes and B-Sides now which will have the faithful fanbase rushing to download, Also the 3 physical formats will give the single a HUGE boost along with The Brits performance :cheer:
February 12, 200817 yr I don't understand people thinking it will fail to make the Top 10 - of course it will. Infact I think it COULD even yet make number 1. Should be Top 10 in Itunes by end of the week. Plus all the faithful will be buying the formats next week, add that to the Brits - Def top 3.
February 12, 200817 yr It was top 30 for a while without the video, so yes i think it will be about #5
February 13, 200817 yr Kylie still sells a lot of physicals unlike most artists these days and people will have a lot more options to buy Wow when it's released next monday. *****right now people are just downloading it straight from the album, there's no Wow single on iTunes, no radio edit, etc.**** THANKYOU for stating the FACTS Wow is not getting any of its formats officially released till next mon... MY GOD are there some BLOODY IGNORANT people on this thread, opening their mouths and letting their belly's rumble (as usual). While in theory there should be no difference to downloading as an album track or an officially released download single ,in practice there is eg do people seem to like things to be blatantly pointed out? Releasing download and physical together might produce a better more visible peek i mean SG might have got their single into the top 10 with the same strategy. fans of kylie are split with wow some love it(like me) and others dont like it all EXACTLY! The FAN BASE are completely divided on this trk - HOWEVER THE GENERAL PUBLIC aren't and they're the ones that make a single a big hit NOT the fan base.
February 13, 200817 yr She has really f***ed the song up by speeding it up on the video - it sounds awful and cheap. PARDON!? It sounds awful and cheap on the radio anyway - so what's the difference ;) Unlike some people who get their leopard fur trimmed panties in a knot with this release - why bother - its when she releases records like this all the time that a heart attack is needed, i can forgive her this release since by the nature of her career 2Hs was a risk which she at least took although it may not have worked out (with out any risks you wouldn't get anywhere ie not a 2 decade career) - mind you the album still sold well/consistently before wows stabilizing effect considering how her albums normally fare with the success of the lead single. Edited February 13, 200817 yr by ima
February 14, 200817 yr Apart from the distortion on the word 'Wow'... it's a really dreadful record... if she goes Top 10 then she should be happy absolutely - in my arms would have been better imo or the one....but what do i know?
February 14, 200817 yr these days its what you sell not which position you get to. Surely Kylie has a massive build up of sales with Wow. Look at Christina's Candyman last year. It only reached 17 but sold over 100k overall. McFly debuted at number 1 in April last year but the track barely scraped 50k. Chart positions aren't too important overall these days. You have a point there. I don't particularly dislike Wow. whilst not going anywhere, nor pointing towards any direction in her career, it is fairly enjoyable. probably a homage to Kylie's early years. whatever, it retains that kind of innocence that, say, someone like madonna has become totally incapable of. i don't think that physicals will help it go that much higher though. and, after almost 10 weeks already in the charts, personally i would rather move on to single number three.
February 15, 200817 yr Wow by Kate Bush is a different song, but in my honest opinion a better song than Kylie's, who I do like! Seen on YouTube her magical performance of Wow on an Abba special. It really is Wow!
