They will have to leave a lot out to fit it into the timescale of a musical and I guess they'll leave out a lot of the racist scenes.

The racism is such an important part though,

It will be interesting to see which sections of the book the stage musical includes which the film didn't and vice versa.

 

 

 

 

I don't think I can bring myself to watch the film. I've never managed to sit through much of it yet. I must remember to take tissues with me to the musical. The book is so sad.

I've been having problems posting in the last few days. It comes up with werver not found and then when I resend it comes up twice.

I get that a bit, especially using the fast reply.

It's been very slow for me for the last week or so. Other sites aren't effected.

I just can't wait to see Darius and Jill in costume. I don't care if it's the gentleman of the South look or what I'd term the " Heathcliff" one - wild hair and thundering with rage.

Wonder how long it will be.....I hope they use poster that don't just have the shadow effect.

All the posters seeem to be shadow ones with no names or pics. Nina has had her daughters looking.

They're not going to stand out amongst so many, are they?

 

Maybe they're just going up to ensure they get the sites they want when the real ones are ready.

I think they were put there to just make people aware that the musical is coming. The time it took to find Rhet, the timescales are quite tigh.

They may have the best creative team, but their marketing and promotion people could learn a thing or two from Chicago's.

Let's hope they learn fast

Once it's going, they'll be fine. They couldn't really start until they had most of the cast. I hink the casting is complete now, so we may see more promo.

I think Rhett, Mammy and Prissy were the last three roles to be filled in the main cast.
