It's The Sunday Mirror. It's hard to find as it's an added paragraph to the article titled 'Pete in a Paris fix, on page 13. No pic or anything. The only reason I found it is that my Mum was searching the paper for Darius - and then 'phoned me.

What a lovely mum.

Is Pete, Pete Doherty?

Maybe Pete's name will get more people to read it, as more people seem to want to read about self-destruction than success
which song is "I want?" it doesnt appear to be on the first reviewers list on broadwayworld? or have I missed it

'Scarlett O'Hara again'

Thought you would like to know or perhaps you do already there is a theatre thread under general discussion on DS. however have refrained from posting so far as they appear to be on the young side so GWTW may be over their heads.

had to bring that blog bit over, BT - it is so lovely to read!

" got the chance to pop in and see a snippet from Gone With The Wind last week, following an interview with the Wig Mistress there, Sandra O’Brien. The big eye-opener for me was Darius Danesh as Rhett Butler. Very tall and thoroughly commanding on stage with the longest eyelashes on a man - ever AND, I have to say, an absolute dish in the recent publicity shots, I am really surprised at how many people laugh when I mention he is playing Butler. Or, for that matter, how many people groan at the idea of GWTW as a musical on stage. I thought I was supposed to be the cynic?"

its so satisfying isnt it, that people build their negative ideas of Darius on what they DON'T know - and are always positively supirsed whne they see him or what he is doing!! that is so rewarding

I think the writer of the blog is unlikely to have known much about Darius. He strikes me more as a broadsheet man and Darius has hardly been mentioned in those until now.

He's seen Darius perform however briefly and he just can't understand the reaction to his name.

Anyway, here is the latest shot of ‘Lashes’ Danesh with co-star, Jill Paice. Personally, I can’t wait

That's about how I felt about it..

To me, Scarlett isn't typical of a single parent family. I know mothers exist who don't care for their kids. She's never been abused either, unless you count the shameless spoiling which allowed such selfishness to develope.

Most single parents love their kids and put their needs above everything else in life.

The characters are very well written so that any time you're beginning to think they're decent people another piece of information makes you stop and reconsider. They're so complex and that's why they are such wonderful characters to play and just about every Hollywood star of the Thirties wanted to be them.

I laughed out loud when someone on a theatre site said Darius was selected because there were so few applicants for auditions for Rhett Butler, the first time the Mitchell estate have given the rights for a musical.

No sirree. Definitely not. Nobody, other than Darius, wanted to be directed by Sir Trevor Nunn.
I like the term Lashes Danesh, it goes together rather well.
