February 13, 200817 yr Don't remember the show... but I do like Pentangle - however, in that clip - it seems the lead singer's two legs have been replaced by four rather skinny ones.... :P
February 14, 200817 yr Author Don't remember the show... but I do like Pentangle - however, in that clip - it seems the lead singer's two legs have been replaced by four rather skinny ones.... :P you surprise me russ, knowing pentangle! they werent that 'big' , in fact they were largely unknown in mainstream being popular in the burgoning folk scene. they never reached to popularity heights of steeleye span or fairport convention, the boys of the lough or the dubliners, and were all over by the time you started primary school! :lol: she has a great voice though :), very much like sandy denny of fairport...

Pentangle were/are great. i was quite big into traditional folk in the 70's , brought about by steeleye span, whos first 4 albums were great... until 'all around my hat'. fairport, martin carthy (whos daughter is big on todays folk scene), cheiftans...

It is on the Big T Label from 1970 the single featuring the lovely Jacqui McShee peaked at #43 Also I have their only other hit - Once I Had A Sweetheart - #46 in 1969 Am I right in thinking that one of that it was about 3 girls who shared a flat together and that one of the girls was Joanna Lumley, although I stand to be corrected if i'm wrong.
