Jamie: Still Brit's Conservator

Court has let out and Brit's conservatorship remains the same - Jamie Spears is still in charge of his daughter (until the next court date, that is).

Below is a quote from Jamie's attorney Geraldine Cohen, who's working with co-conservator Andrew Wallet, regarding Sam:

"We are pursuing great effort to get to Mr Lutfi. Our investigators have spent over 200 hours doing so. We've staked out his residence, been to hospitals. We've learned that in fact Mr. Lutfi is intentionally avoiding service. We would like the time period to serve him be extended until Feb. 22nd."

The judge said if Sam is not reached by then, the time will likely be extended.

Next hearing is set for March 10th.

Where's Sam?

Michael Sands Delivers a Petition

This is an interesting bit of news!

After court today, Sam's spokesperson Michael Sands delivered a petition to the judge requesting that the custody hearing be switched to federal court. We're hearing, however, that the judge hasn't read them and the documents were put in the court file.

Hmm, wonder why?

Also, while he wasn't in court today, attorney Ivan Taback will be one of Brit's two new trustees. The other is Britney's brother, Bryan, who was represented in court by Mitchell Gaswirth today.

Both will receive "mutual compensation" for their time.

Britney's Not Been Psychologically Evaluated... Yet

More news from the courtroom...

One, Samuel Ingham has not yet completed his psychological evaluation of Britney - he has until March 10th.

Two, 200 man hours were said to have been spent trying to serve Sam Lutfi - all unsuccessful.

Good, she has improved DRAMTICALLY under the care of her father. I say she should stay under his conservatorship for atleast a couple of months.
I agree, it's only been a couple of weeks and look at the changes already :o But, like we said all along, all she needed was some love from her family, should of happened sooner -_- but better late than never ^_^
In her families defense the a-hole that is Sam Lufti delayed this for almost a year exact. I honestly think he was the root of her problem.
