Posted February 16, 200817 yr Results of RetroClash #56 New Order - Blue Monday [ 5 ] [33.33%] The Doors - Light My Fire [ 10 ] [66.67%] Now it may have been the obvious choice of song but Light My Fire has fairly convincingly ousted Blue Monday. I don't know whether it was more of a I'm-Fed-Up-With-New-Order vote but what it does do is allow me to set up a fairly obvious clash between The Doors and The Cult. The Cult are represented by their break through single from 1985 "She Sells Sanctuary" You have until whenever I get round to announcing the results to vote! Previous Wins 9 wins Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division) 8 Wins Take On Me (A-Ha) 5 wins Running Up That Hill (Kate Bush) Waterloo Sunset (The Kinks) Blue Monday (New Order) 4 Wins Enjoy The Silence (Depeche Mode) 3 Wins I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (U2) Paint It Black (The Rolling Stones) I Feel Love (Donna Summer) 2 Wins Won't Get Fooled Again (The Who) 1 Win With Or Without You (U2) Living On A Prayer (Bon Jovi) Like A Prayer (Madonna) Paperback Writer (The Beatles) Another Brick in the Wall (Pink Floyd) Life on Mars? (David Bowie) Stairway To Heaven (Led Zeppelin) Going Underground (The Jam) Light My Fire (The Doors)

February 17, 200817 yr The Doors Considering my current fascination with all things Dusty, hopefully You Don't Have To Say You Love Me? appears here soon. :cheer: hope not, ydhtsylm was IMHO one of her worst.
February 17, 200817 yr The Doors. As for Dusty although my fav by her is Goin' Back, Son Of A Preacher Man is her anthem IMHO.
February 20, 200817 yr i love 'goin back', played at her funeral... but i doubt it would win a soundclash. her most popular tracks were imho her weakest... 'ydhtsylm', 'i only wanna be with you' and 'son of a preacher man'.. it would have to be one of those to stand any chance in a soundclash...imho.
