It has been confirmed that GOLDFRAPP will represent Utopia in Rontvia. The song they will perform is unconfirmed as yet.

Battles To Represent Utopia?

 

Upon watching another contest and feeling disappointed at the end result Ian Williams, of acclaimed US act Battles has been quoted as saying "I'm fed up of BJSC being dominated by female $h!t. It's about time some proper music was entered and we'd all be delighted to represent Utopia in BJSC#8 with 'Atlas'"

The Pipettes Set For A Return To Utopia?

 

After representing Utopia with 'Pull Shapes' in BJSC#4 and finishing in 2nd place The Pipettes have said they wouldn't mind trying to take Utopia back to the top. The new line-up of Ani, Anna and Gwenno said they'd be more than happy representing Utopia again. Likely song choices are 'Dirty Mind' and 'Because It's Not Love (But It's A Feeling)'

Utopia To Go French?

 

After seeing the Girls Alound finishing top 3 on what was surely name alone with their HIDEOUS French version of 'Can't Speak French' in a previous contest French electropop star Yelle has said she would love to have a go at BJSC with 'À Cause des Garçons' after the Utopian public voted the song as one of the top 5 songs of all time sung in a language other than English.

I find it ironic that you noticed Girls Aloud's result but not Yelle's as they were in the same contest! :heehee:
