I reallyreallyreally DON'T understand why you (and half of the UK) is making such a big deal out of the fact that she has an american 'accent'. What does it matter? You should like/dislike her for the music that she makes, and not about a silly accent. It seems that you hate her simply because she doesn't sound the way you'd want her to sound. It seems very short-sighted to me. It's kind of the same that you'd hate someone for being gay for example, as it's something that doesn't matter at all.

I like her music. I like Flakes. I hate her. And the American accent is fake and put on... so nothing like hating someone for being gay at all tbh.

So you hate HER. Just because of the 'accent'? And it's not fake. You learn it when young and around ppl speaking like that all day. Believe me, I should know.
