Yes, in Emmerdale - Joe Fisher and Mr Malachay in Grange Hill. I've never watched either, so that doesn't help. I think, after Rhett and Scarlett, I'd like to see Madelaine though.

He must have been in Emmerdale when I had given up watching it for a while. I don't remember any character called Joe Fisher. I saw Grange Hill whenmy son was young but I guess Edward Baker-Duly must have been in much morerecent series.

How old is he?

Thanks.

I still don't recognise the face.

Is he South African? He seems to have done a lot of work on TV and in the theatre there.

I see he worked with Trevor Nunn before too.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Edward Baker-Duly is a South African actor working in the UK.

He is best known for playing no-nonsense sports master Chris Malachay in the long-running BBC school drama, Grange Hill, from 2003-2006. Previously he had played Joe Fisher, the Australian partner of gay builder Jason Kirk, in the ITV1 soap Emmerdale. He recently completed filming Botched alongside Stephen Dorff. He has two younger brothers, William and James, the latter also an actor who appeared briefly on the South African TV show Honeytown. They were educated at Potchefstroom Boys High in South Africa.

Well I think Alan Winner who plays Cade Calvert, ( I'm not sure how he fits in - one of the bucks of the County or maybe I haven't reached him yet), has just graduated from college.

I might be wrong in this assertion but I seem to remember it was the same college Connie Fisher was trained at.

I found a post from a relative of his, saying how proud they were that he'd got a part in GWTW.

I just came across this proud relative's post and thought "aw, isn't that great?" so I remembered the boy's name and looked for it on the full cast list.
NaTasha seems very young for Mammy. She's a gospel singer and I do like some gospel music, as well as a well thought of actress. Looks good for the songs.

When I first heard they were doing Gone With the Wind, I wondered if Brenda would audition because I think she's got a wonderful personality and a great voice.
Wrong accent though. She'd really have to work at it - but it would be a good idea for the future.

Mammy in the film ends up looking quite old , so I think she must be meant to be in her fifties or so at the beginning, She also talks about about Bonnie being her 3rd generation child, so I presume she was Ellen's mammy when she was young.
