I've just been looking at character lists and his isn't mentioned. They did have Bonny as being an adult in the film cast list - even though she's 4yrs old when she dies in the book.

The ache of anticipation is so much worse this time. At least with the other two, we knew from clips etc that they pretty much followed the films. This time we don't know what to expect because Sir Trevor Nunn's productions are not all in the same style and he's already said don't expect it to be like the film.
But i hated the bits of the film I saw. I am so hoping it isn't going to be like that.

That's going to be the main problem....it being compared to the film

Just following the scenes and dialogues would have been the easiest thing to do but the creative team behind this GWTW are quite rightly called creative................ because they've never been copycats.

Not long now. I feel like I'm rfepeating myself - but at least I'm not going around saying 'this is brilliant' all the time - Maybe in April.

It seems the media want to suggest that Darius is playing Clark Gable playing Rhett, despite what Sir Trevor says.

This is it....they are going to compare it to the film and not the book....

But I don't think I'll be disappointed...and I've only seen 2 photos :o

...but then I haven't seen the film...

I only need to see the one photo -

most people have probably only seen the film, I am avoiding seeing the film(as my recollections are just a few main points of the plot) and I am not reading the book - so it is fresh to me and I can watch it hopefully unhindered by expectations or comparisons

I've read the book and I'll probably try and sit through the film on the 20th on TCM. I'll have seen the Musical by then.

I absolutley love Darius's voice. He could sing nursery rhymes, a foreign language I don't understand or just any words which come into his head and I'd listen for hours, but I'm actually hoping that there aren't too many songs in GWTW.

I wouldn't want it to be like Chicago where the storyline and depth of characters are continued in the songs. Nor do I want people bursting out into song at the drop of a hat with no apparent relevance to the plot.

I would like to see a strong emotional play with integrated sympathetic songs.

I'd like to see Darius really challenged as an actor. He can sing anything well. We know that already. He can also dance very well indeed given the right training and practice. I want to see how well he learned his lessons when he went back to being a student (of acting).

I think he'll be great. You could see how good his acting was in 'Guys and Dolls'. I want to go NOW. I missed out most of the tantrum stage when I was a kid - I'm having them now instead.

Having (almost) read the book, I think Melly is a much stronger character in the book and there's a lot more depth to Rhett and Scarlett in the book.
