Posted February 23, 200817 yr Hey, Anyone whose watching the Birmingham Arsenal match atm, did you see what happened to Eduardo? For those of you who dont know he was bought down by Taylor, who was sent off immediatley, didnt move for about 10 minutes and was stretchered off. Andy Gray said they were refusing to show a replay as it would be too horrific/upsetting. Just wondering if anyone saw, im intrigued. Hope its not too serious for Eduardo allthough i thinkits too late for that :( Edited February 23, 200817 yr by JamesP
February 23, 200817 yr Author The latest is he's gone straight to hospital, and even the medical staff weere shocked as to the nature of the injury. You can see the shock and distress in the way Arsenal are playing now, theres a sombre overtone to the game.
February 23, 200817 yr I saw it. I was eating my lunch, after flicking over from Football Focus to catch the start of the match. Let's just say I stopped feeling hungry and did not finish my sandwiches. I fear that it is a career threatening injury.

I think that is a bit premature  I can remember Djibril Cisse's injuries where his leg was contorted at terrible angles and bone sticking out etc but he made a full recovery and went on to play professional football again Much as I despise the Scum and everyone associated with them I hope he makes a full recovery

Must've been serious as the Soccer Saturday panel actually STOPPED BEING FUNNY for a while to reflect on it.
February 23, 200817 yr DO NOT CLICK IF EASILY SHOCKED its a bad one alright :o :o Reminds me of Cisse's injury, hope like Cisse he gets to play again
February 23, 200817 yr OH MY F***ING GOD is that genuine? Thats bloody horrific!! yes :o An even worse one here :( OUCH
February 23, 200817 yr Jesus Christ  I hope he can recover from that, that looks truly awful :(
February 23, 200817 yr Author In other news from the match, how ridiculously childish is Gallas  Arsenal always throw their toys out the pram theyre such bad losers
February 23, 200817 yr From reading 606 the general view was that it wasn't as recklss as a lot of challenges this season, just very badly mis-timed. I'm quite shocked this hasn' already happened this season, there have been some dreadful challeges! I hope he makes a speedy recovery.
February 23, 200817 yr Having seen a video of the tackle it was late and his studs were showing so under the rules of the game a red card was no real choice but to send him off but I do not think there was any malice or bad intent there, the standard 3 match ban for a straight red is sufficient penalty    @ Gallas :manson:
February 23, 200817 yr Definate red card, but there should be no further punishment for Taylor, i should think he feels bad enough already without getting a ban from football.
February 23, 200817 yr I really hope nothing seriously will happen  He was my favourite football player while he was playing in Croatia  I just love watching him play although I'm not such a big football fan. I just heard on the news that our representation is going to Euro without Dudu

I just heard on the news that our representation is going to Euro without Dudu   I would be surprised if he is playing in the next 9 months tbh The likes of Alan Smith and Cisse and Larsson made full recoveries from similar injuries so I do not believe it will end his career but certainly we won't be seeing him again in 2008
February 23, 200817 yr That's too bad  Does anyone know where I can find that game? Maybe on You tube?
