An even worse one here :(

OUCH

Holy cr@p! That is horrific! I went to play pool today in snooker center and that game was on the TV screens. They did say it was career threatening injury. I hope his foot is ok.

You rarely get career threatening injuries nowadays. Owen, Bullard, Cisse, Smith - all recently had horrific injuries and have come back fine. Even Clive Clarke who collapsed with a heart defect earlier in the season is ok now...

Watching Arsehole Wenger's post match interview reminded my why I'll never really like Arsenal whilst he's in charge. I hope he gets fined. Mourihno would've been. <_<

Yeah Wenger is a Grade A c**k he really is

Gets all high and mighty about this sort of thing but conveniently doesn't see Eboue on Terry, Eboue on Nani, other players on Nani and so on

The guy is trailer trash with a suit

Yes, if Taylor should never play again Eboue should atleast be shot in the kneecaps? He's what gives football a bad name. Incredibly dirty and a 100% cheat.

It could end his career, he broke all the major bones apparently and will probably never be the same player again if he recovers :(

It's such a shame as he is a good player and was just starting to get to grips in the league, plus he'll miss euro '08 where he basically got Croatia there single handedly.

Taylor should at least get a 6 game ban. Accidental or not it was wreckless, to say he was unlucky that he injured him when he was doing a two foot, over the ball lunge is not an excuse. I bet McLiesh told his players to get into Arsenal as they don't like the physical game, idiot.

Wenger is going a bit OTT but action needs to be taken and it needs to set an example to anyone that does anotehr one of these tackles.

And to top it off the ref screwed us over by giving a penalty when Clichy clealty got the ball. <_< Blind t***.

Pictures of the injury below...

Taylor looks like he's smiling in this one :manson: what a dick.

This is pretty gross.

I can only see one foot in those photos. Was the other off the ground but behind?

Oh, my bad, it wasnt two foot but it was over the ball.

It should be more than 3 games though, why should someone get 3 game ban for potentially wrecking someone's career?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Martin Taylor should "never play football again" after the Birmingham captain's tackle broke Eduardo's leg.

 Much sympathy as i feel for Eduardo atm, Wenger really is a tw*t.

Somebody should kill that Taylor guy  Look at Dudu   Can u imagine what kind of pain that was?

Not seen the tackle, but from those pictures it looks v.bad! I hope he makea a full recovery like Cisse did.

Wenger's comments through are so bias. Yes it looks like a bad tackle but his players have been guilty of it this season, as well as a lot of other Premier League players! This needs to stop now, or else sooner or later it will ruin someone's career. Seems harsh, but I think they should actually put a large ban on Taylor to make an example of him.

Ridiculous comment. :manson:

There have been FAR WORSE challenges this seaon (Carvalho on Agbonlahor, Eboue on Terry) but luckily they didn't get as much of the man. It was a badly mistimed challenge, but a 10th of a second mistimed either way would probably have been much less damage.

How is Eboue on Terry worse? don't be rediculous. I don't like Eboue but that was not intentaional. Terry cleared and Eboue tried a block and Terry followed through on Eboue's foot.

This is much worse.

It's ridiculous, so? I can comment as I want to. It's not an accident, you can see him smiling over there, like he's satisfied he's done a great job

It happened to a player that means a great deal to Croatia and our representation.

So youre saying Taylor WAS intentional?

No. I don't know what it was but his foot was high, it was much worse than Eboue who tried to block the ball.

Well the panel of ex-Professional Premiership Footballers on Sky think the injury was far worse because Eduardo's studs were caught in the turf.

Seeing as Taylor caught Eduardo with one foot (not two), low down his leg (not high up), then you are being as ridiculous as the hypocritical Arse-hole Whinger.

It was a late tackle, that merited a red card. Simple as.... It was not malicious, just a bad tackle made worse by Eduardo boot being stuck in the turf.

There has been easily over a dozen worse tackles in the Premiership this season, that were far worse and malicious as Taylor's tackle today.

Oh, and Taylor was crying as he went off the pitch. Hardly the sign of someone who deliberately went in to hurt someone is it?
