February 25, 200817 yr This is Newcastle :heehee: Any other manager would have been out the door, the Newcastle fans aren't known for their patience but this is the 'Second Coming' we are talking about Special K. Edited February 25, 200817 yr by truly talented
February 25, 200817 yr Newcastle are doing bad, but there is not much risk of them ending up in the Bottom 3. Derby County, Reading and Fulham are all gaining points at an abysmally slow rate. If Newcastle don't get any points for another 2 months they will most likely not be in the Bottom 3. Points gained since December 9th, eleven games played since then. Newcastle 6 Fulham 6 Reading 5 Derby 3. Edited February 25, 200817 yr by e-motion
February 25, 200817 yr If Newcastle don't get any points for another 2 months they will most likely not be in the Bottom 3. By two months do you mean the end of the season? If you do, surely you don't think they will survive in the Premiership by getting 0 points until the end of the season? Surely 28 points won't be enough to survive :o

Surely 28 points won't be enough to survive :o  A good point. The last few games of the season often produce strange results as mid table teams and even front teams have nothing to play for. So in that case a few more points would be required. Can imagine that 31 points will be enough to stay up this year. Edited February 25, 200817 yr by e-motion
February 25, 200817 yr I don't think it'll be as high as the usual 40 but I'd be VERY surprised if it's as low as 31...

Newcastle 6 Fulham 6 Reading 5 Derby 3. The difference is that Reading and Fulham aren't playing badly and are only losing by the odd goal. Reading haven't lost by more than two goals in their 8 successive defeats. Newcastle have shipped 16 in their last 5 games. Granted they were against good teams but still, it's not something that the other teams struggle that much with.
March 1, 200817 yr Doubt Keegan will last the season now We didn't do any better today though      turned over big time by a bunny team :manson: :manson: :manson: Good time to wash my Spurs shirts I think because I am too f***ing ashamed to wear them between now and Thursday after that shower of $h!t today
March 1, 200817 yr Seeing as Kevin Keegan became a legend via playing for Liverpool FC in the 1970s, with his final match for the club being their first European Cup Final victory in 1977, then maybe he should adopt as Newcastle's theme tune this song by a well known Liverpool supporter for this season's campaign ............ 0a60ctwwgHQ
March 1, 200817 yr Really pleased with our win today ^_^ NOT pleased by Arsenal being flukey b*stards though
March 1, 200817 yr I blame Villa for switching off because they were thinking time was up <_< Imagine how many toys would have flown out the pram had they lost :kink:
March 2, 200817 yr It's a poor result for Newcastle as Reading got 3 points today. Is a bad spell for Newcastle, but you've only just got to look at Reading and how they seem to be picking themselves up from their slum. Watching MOTD tonight Newcastle should have easily beaten Blackburn, but they're a team low on confidence so they missed chances that they should have stuck in the back of the net. Looks like this relegation battle will go right down to the wire! Could be anyone of 8 teams to take the final two relegation spots.
March 2, 200817 yr Looks like this relegation battle will go right down to the wire! Could be anyone of 8 teams to take the final two relegation spots. I disagree Von Roon. Fulham and Derby are already down imo, but yeah could be anyone out of Sunderland, Wigan, Bolton, Birmingham and Reading for that last spot. I still reckon it'll be GD that sends the last team down (and unfortunately ours is cack)
March 2, 200817 yr Well Bolton are 1-0 down against Liverpool at the moment thanks to a Jaaskelainen own goal, I hope the scousers don't end up completely fluking a champions league spot like this <_<
March 2, 200817 yr Ok, 2-0 now they actually managed to convert a chance so maybe they deserve this one -_-
March 2, 200817 yr I reckon Fulham are pretty much down now. I should think they'll end up close to staying up, but just fall short. I can't see Boro, Newcastle or Bolton going down, which leaves 1 from Wigan, Sunderland, Birmingham and Reading, and i reckon it'll be Wigan.
March 2, 200817 yr Ok, 2-0 now they actually managed to convert a chance so maybe they deserve this one -_- Make that 3-0. The fact that Liverpool are in a scrap for 4th place is a disgrace in itself.
March 2, 200817 yr I find it refreshing that there is a scrap for 4th place, instead of there being a 15 point void between 4th and 5th, which leads to boring safe football

I hope Wigan stay up, they're a rugby town at the end of the day so I wondered whether the support would be there It's great there's a scrap at both ends of the table, it makes things so much more interesting
