Yesterday, the Bulgarian participants in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest were selected: They are Deep Zone & Balthazar! Their song DJ, Take Me Away is a contemporary dance track with an energetic stage performance.

 

After twelve preliminary heats and one semi-final, the Bulgarian representative for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest was finally picked. This also marked the end of the EuroBGvision project, one of the most extensive national finals in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Not sure if this is a track for Eurovision, I hate to say this... Bulgaria at aiming for the nul points with this, does nothing for me.

 

The start of it, its horrendous, but when the girl starts singing, makes up for the track, but the music does not mix. Take out the rap out of it, and it might do better.

 

Sorry that's my take on it.

I actually like this, but I'm not sure how well it will go down in Europe.

But at least it's different from the other ones. I think it's catchy :dance:

Wow, I guess I'm the odd person out, but I love this. Good choice by Bulgaria imo.

 

Especially the female vocals. "DJ Please Take Me Away ^_^ "

Hmm I'm quite liking this actually. ^_^ If they're in the semi-final that we can vote in, I can see them getting a few votes from the Brits.

Terrible? It's definitely not that bad :D I'm not quite sure this was the best choice possible, but I enjoy the song - it makes me feel like dancing. Besides, with Eurovision you never know - the winner is always a surprise :rolleyes:

IMO Nevena had an amazing song!I would go for that ;)

I know, I voted for her (and Nikolay), but I'm not disappointed with our representatives, not at all.

On a second thought I realised that Nevena's song is a typical ballad. Indeed, a good one, but not remarkable, because it sounds like the rest of the entries. I like it very much, but it is sung in Bulgarian and most people won't understand it anyway.

Dj take me away is catchy, easily distinguishable and in some way provocative, because it's not a typical Eurovision song. Don't be that harsh :P

well it's love it or hate it song I guess :P

but I've heard that Nevena also had an english version of her song so if she'd won she would use that one :P

Well... to tell you the truth from all the other songs that made it to the Final I think this one was the best choice. I does not sounds like a typical Eurovision entry and that's what I like about it. Last year's song didn't sound like one either but it did really good. This one is nowhere near as good but is the best choice IMO.

I prefer to have a quality song like this which might not appeal to everyone than to have a song like lets says Verka Serwhatever to put me into shame.

 

As for Nevena's song I though it was really bland. Really pleasant video but still bland :/

Glad to see Bulgaria sending something so different again.
