Posted February 24, 200817 yr In my opinion and a lot of critics, 'Brave' is considered her best album to date. with great singles such as 'Hold it don't drop it', 'Do it well' and 'Brave' and amazing album tracks such as 'Forever', 'Stay together' and 'Mile in these shoes' i think the obvious reason is lack of promotion... J.Lo's previous album were worse but they were well promoted ... she should promote her album well, which she didn't... 'Forever' should be released as the next single and should be really promoted, that would save the album.
February 26, 200817 yr I don't believe that her previous albums were bad. This album wasn't promoted very well AND Do It Well wasn't a very strong first single IMO. If she wasn't pregnant and promoted Hold It Don't Drop It with alot of choreography, it would have increased sales.
February 27, 200817 yr I thought she done a fair bit of promotion, I think Hold It Don't Drop It should have been the lead single, especially here in the UK anyway. Oh and I don't agree with it being her best album, I think it's better than Rebirth, but that's about it.
March 1, 200817 yr Lack of promotion, Poor first two singles, and j-lo making a comeback wasn't really a big deal she's not and never really was anything amazing.
March 29, 200817 yr Brave is the first J-Lo album i've bought, and i love it. I wasn't keen on her previous stuff but i loved Do It Well. I've put lack of promotion, oddly both singles got played often on radio 2 but not on any other station. I think it flopped due to lack of support from the media. I'm not sure why hold it don't drop it flopped so bad, #76 wasn't it? Did she do any interviews? Edited March 29, 200817 yr by Glyn
March 31, 200817 yr Bad choice of singles: I thought that besides "Brave" all the single choices were fine. Lack of promotion: I thought that she had loads. Many times I saw her on TV and a few performances on Youtube, so promotion wise I think she was fine. Career being over was my choice. I think it's VERY sad to say, but her time came and went. I don't know when it went, it just happened. She was just the IT girl and then she got replaced by Beyonce, maybe? Maybe it was overexposure. Maybe people just got fed up with her relationships. Maybe people began to realise that she doesn't have the greatest voice out there. I don't know. This is the only album of hers that I could sit and listen to every single song. The song 'Brave' is corny, but I could sit and listen to it in the car. I haven't bought it yet, but I will be when I see it in the shop.
April 14, 200817 yr I don't think it was the single choices as they were pretty good. It was probably the lack of promotion.
May 28, 200817 yr It's the only album I don't like. Hold It should have been the first single, with Miles following.
August 10, 200816 yr lack of promotion. and the lead single wasnt strong. Brave shouldve been the 1st single
