Posted February 25, 200817 yr From The Stage : Turner Classic Movies to screen Gone With the Wind documentary Published Monday 25 February 2008 at 12:50 by Alistair Smith Satellite television channel Turner Classic Movies is to screen a programme documenting the making of forthcoming West End musical Gone With the Wind. Gone with the Wind - The Making of the Musical will see a TCM camera crew shadowing the cast and crew in their run-up to opening at the New London Theatre. Directed by Trevor Nunn, the musical stars Darius Danesh as Rhett Butler and Jill Paice as Scarlett O’Hara. The documentary will be screened on April 20, just before the show’s opening night on April 22. A second version of the show, incorporating footage from the opening night, is also being planned for later in the year. The move follows a similar deal between West End musical The Lord of the Rings and National Geographic last year, which documented behind the scenes of the production, prior to its opening at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
February 25, 200817 yr Author Does this mean it will be on national geographic. I need to see this..and record it
February 25, 200817 yr Author Virgin Media - channel 419 tcm Sky its on their culture package or something.
February 25, 200817 yr OOOOOOH, How nice. I've got that channel. I can't remember seeing it but, I'll go and check later. It's a shame it's not March 20th so I don't have to wait so long.
February 25, 200817 yr Turner Classic Movies otherwise known as TCM....................................... TCM Sky 319, TCM 2 - Sky 320 Don't tell me I've got to sign up to Sky again. I only cancelled it a few months ago.
February 25, 200817 yr Author on the tcm site it says its on the culture package with sky now, not the variety??
February 25, 200817 yr Author yes, on their site it said a few different companies, virgin, sky and some others I am hoping I have 419 as a free channel, I am sure I have watched the TCM chanel before.
February 25, 200817 yr There will be one member of that cast who won't be at all fazed, having cameras following him around - he's had documentaries made of him before and singing live with cameras and people moving around won't bother one bit either.
February 25, 200817 yr So was I right about those clips on the gwtwthemusical site? They just seemed to stop very suddenly almost in mid sentence particularly Aldo Scrofani's Well, we found a great actor..................... I always felt that was a comma rather than a full stop.
February 26, 200817 yr I have no idea if I can get the channel or not. Depends if it is on freeview. Be just my luck not to be able to get it.
February 26, 200817 yr I tried to get on it last night but dont appear to have it although I have cable and freeview. I will be so upset to miss it. I have a friend who has full sky package but her video is broken and would be able to go there and see it but it seems I am doomed as its my cihldrens birthday so will be corned for babysitting. Does anyone know what time it is on.
February 26, 200817 yr I wish this was being shown on one of our usual channels because if a number of us cant see it neither can the public.
