The top hat and cane has now gone...but that scene is much improved...as is the song.

The bit where Rhett was having his coat put on has also gone.

I wish they would stop cutting now...

The bit with the coat was when Rhett and Scarlett were auguing about him giving his money away to people who needed it to start a new life.
The bit when Scarlett is telling everyone they had to work in the fields has also been cut.

What a shame, Preston. It was very good. Were you out or can't you get TCM?

That camera loved Darius. It seemed to pick him out in a lot of the crowd bits, where they were showing the cast gathering or listening to the creative team and I'm pretty sure there were more bits from various interviews with Darius than with any other cast member. He has a way with words.

He does attract eyes. On top of that, he likes people and is really comfortable with them.

The cast only got to sing with the orchestra twice before the first preview?

Is that normal?

Thanks meg. I didnt see the documentry because although we have a limited package with sky it dolesnt include TCM. however I did ask a friend to record it for me but he wasnt sure if he could so am waiting to hear.

I thought it was very well put together and gave a decent insight into all the different roles behind the scenes. We got to see William Brohn and David White who hadn't featured in any of videos on the website.

I liked the way they followed parts of 2 of Darius's songs ( I'm Your Man & Just Two!) through rehearsal, first singing with the orchestra and then the dress rehearsal. It gave a feeling of progression.

I have just got to see the documentary, my friend did manage it for me. Thought it was great and enjoyed the songs. Darius is so in command on stage. Am really looking forward to it.
I definitely didn't like the top hat and cane routine so I'm glad Darius just wears the hat for his entrance now. I think they've made a good decision. A gentleman would have had a hat but would take it off indoors in the presence of ladies..

There are videos of Alone, Once Upon A Time, Just Two! and Join The Troop on the Telegraph Arts section. They have TCM in the corner so I wonder if they'll be added to the documentary later.
I cried....it is so moving....Bonnie dying, Mammy wanting to go home...Rhett crying and then this song...too much
It's a good job it ends on an upbeat number. I wonder how many critics will give it a bad review because it made them cry?
