March 31, 200817 yr I have this feeling that so many of the cast will be playing multiple characters, that we'll still get mixed up.
April 1, 200817 yr And we are the ones who have read the book! If we get confused, how will people who haven't read the book cope? Perhaps we could ask the actors to wear placards saying who they are.LOL
April 1, 200817 yr I got it in Chicago, that made sense as the roles were of "anybodies" if the characters interact with the main characters more than fleetingly or more than once - it could get confusing! for me, I will be getting confused as to what face fits where.
April 1, 200817 yr Author Well if you got it in Chicago without them changing costumes or making any change to their appearance, this should be a dawdle.
April 16, 200817 yr Author Well, did you get confused by the same actor playing different roles or was it OK?
April 16, 200817 yr I was aware of the same actors playing different people. When you knew the previous character was dead, it was a little amusing. The second viewing was further back and you couldn't really tell. It caused no problems at all as you knew where the story was going - and where it had been.
April 16, 200817 yr Author Did they make much attempt to disguise themselves with wigs, beards and such?
April 16, 200817 yr I wonder why they need 100 characters..apart from the scenes when there are all the dead and dying soldiers Scarlet has to walk over.
April 16, 200817 yr yikes! 70 mind you they name eveyone in a film dont they..even if that person has a fleeting part off to look at the cast list to see if the characters are the ones I recall -
April 16, 200817 yr The thing is, some were in Tara and some in Atlanta. So, the cast could play characters in both with no problems. The other characters were people in passing - like the shot yankee soldier who nearly lands in the audience. most of the laughter was a reaction to shock as it did look as though he was coming over. It showed because the laughter was from the area where you could see how far across the stage he slid. Very effective.
April 18, 200817 yr Author I'll let you know I think that, if a 'dead' body comes whizzing towards me. BTW do you know GWTW is one of the few films set during a war which doesn't have one single battle scene? Edited April 18, 200817 yr by Baytree
