I love that one and Darius aims for the moon so often. Like auditioning just because it was a chance to try out before Sir Trevor Nunn .................and getting the role.

And Trevor not having known of him in the past and just judging on merit.

But Lord ALW allegedly wouldn't buy that and hinted Trevor Nunn had in fact done some celebrity/reality casting.

 

If that rumour was true then maybe it was genuine confusion - we know ALW had his eye on Darius on PI for a debut in the WE, so he may have assumed that if he knew about Darius then so must've Sir Trevor.

Or used the fact that 7 yrs ago Darius was in PI to try and excuse him using the tv as unfair promotion for his own shows in the West End?

There are so many times when fate intervened to change the course of Darius's career. It makes you wonder where he'd be if certain things hadn't happened.

 

What if he'd been a few inches smaller and had become a TV weatherman? That one I just can't imagine but it could have happened.

He wouldn't have stayed just a weatherman for very long.

I like sharing. I always tell the kids they have to share. This time next week, we'll be sharing his lovely voice and a very good play to go with it. You'll be sad though, as it'll all just be ending. Fancy you and Spam going on holiday at the same time and to the same continent even if it is different countries. Me I'll just stay here and may find myself forced to go again as consolation.

I love his voice. He could read/sing me the telephone directory and I'd listen right through to the last z.

Then I would fall asleep.

He could sing you the lullaby after the directory!

I wouldn't hear it, I'd be asleep. What a waste.

I like that sentiment about pressure which he's said in a few recent interviews. I'd need to find them again.

I find I don't have to make it - it comes free. He thinks it's made within you.

I wish I could think that way when external factors are turning me to a frazzle.

 

I think I go the opposite way because I can't step back, view it coolly, and put it into perspective and I get more and more worked up.
