Goodrem's fiance Brian McFadden let it slip on breakfast radio yesterday, telling Melbourne radio station Fox FM the songstress was in the US shooting a video ahead of the US release of her album.

 

News of Goodrem's signing with Mercury comes just days after a Sunday newspaper report claimed her US career had stalled after she was dropped by the US arm of music company Sony BMG.

 

But McFadden was singing a different tune yesterday, saying Goodrem "switched labels" as opposed to being dumped.

 

"I am actually going to set the record straight on that story because for some reason the record company here haven't," a defiant sounding McFadden said.

 

"The actual truth is she's switched labels, she's signed now to Mercury in America.

 

"I've been reading all week she was dumped but actually she's over in LA right now shooting a video and the album cover."

 

McFadden's revelation is likely to create friction with Goodrem's management team and is also set to test the friendship with the singer's Australian record company, Sony BMG.

 

Goodrem's spokeswoman went to ground on the news yesterday, only issuing a "no comment" and referring all queries on the matter to Sony BMG CEO Denis Handlin.

 

Handlin had not returned calls at the time of publication.

OVEREXPOSED singer Delta Goodrem has joined photogenic forces with Queensland model Miranda Kerr.

 

Delta, who just lost her record deal in the US, and Miranda hooked up yesterday in an LA studio for a photo shoot for a major magazine.

Delta has been in LA for a short while and was joined at the weekend by her fiance, Brian McFadden.

 

He was only there for a few days before he headed back to Australia on Monday for media commitments to promote his latest musical venture.

 

The former Westlife singer had just come off supporting the Backstreet Boys in a Boytown meet Boytown experience.

 

As for Miranda, there was no Oscar's party.

 

Her beau, Orlando Bloom, instead was in Asia on work-related business, leaving Miranda to fend for herself on Oscars night.

 

The two have struck up a romance that is now becoming very public.

 

They were snapped canoodling in a London street and were spotted having a romantic dinner together in New York on Valentine's Day.

 

But Miranda is not the only one fending for herself without her partner.

 

Delta was also spied having dinner in a West Hollywood hotel on Sunset Boulevard – without Brian.

New album cover = Extra tracks... this will be the album the uk will get i think :P I wonder if the song which is getting released will be a brand new song... i think she should do a huge ballad for the USA :P It'll prob get released here too :P (God Laughs is a very american single imo) i dont like it tho.

well i hope if the US video is for ITL then we shud get it! Watching that Kerry Katona stuff on TV shows shes pretty much over the fact she is not with Brian, so give us a bloomin release already b4 we get bored and jelious of the fact US and Japan have "DELTA" before us in the UK!
