March 9, 200817 yr I keep seeing Sean pop up on tv. Last time was in the Fairy Stories series . I guess he has bills to pay just like the rest of us. I wonder if he chose to leave Eastenders, probably not, but you never really know. I would have thought such a role would be quite lucrative and seeing as it's based around many characters, you would have no problem going away for a few weeks holiday. Just had a thought, Sean would make a great Amos, especially with his puppy dog eyes :)
March 9, 200817 yr I think that Sean was right. He had had a lot of work since and has shown just how versatile he is. The safe path isn't always the best.
March 9, 200817 yr He may have been happier carrying on in the soap, maybe not, I don't know. Anyway, when a door closes a window opens and all that :)
March 9, 200817 yr I didn't know that he didn't choose to go out of the soap. Whether he did or not - he's done really well and that must make him happy.
March 10, 200817 yr I keep seeing Sean pop up on tv. Last time was in the Fairy Stories series . I remember now. He was in Rapunzel the one with the guy who pretended to be a female tennis player. Sean was very very good. I'm sure he had most of the funny lines too.I didn't recognise him at first.
March 11, 200817 yr Two of D's leading ladies are in the same show/concert, not sure which, reading the blurb.......... Sally Ann Triplett - his first and Louise Dearman - his last in Guys and Dolls - and by all accounts they are stealing the show. I'd agree with the person who says Louise should have a leading role in a major WE show. I hope she does soon. She was fabulous as Sarah, better I'd say than the girl in the youtube clips with Ewan McGregor.
March 11, 200817 yr Both of those girls were fantastic. I'd go and see them. Did it say what it was called, BT?
March 11, 200817 yr They were excellent.....if Darius wasn't about to cost me huge amounts of money I'd think about going to see them.
March 11, 200817 yr When you say 'about to cost me huge amounts of money' Do you mean you're spending MORE?
March 11, 200817 yr It's called Make Me A Song and it's described as an enjoyable selection of (William) Finn's songs presented in the cabaret style. It's just opened. This is the one 'H' is in too. Edited March 11, 200817 yr by Baytree
March 11, 200817 yr I remember it now. I thought that I'd enjoy to see the cast but not enough to see the production.
March 13, 200817 yr When you say 'about to cost me huge amounts of money' Do you mean you're spending MORE? I'll have petrol and train fares to add to the tickets...and food....and drink...can't go starving myself. Now if the girls are still in the show when Darius has finished and I'm not saving for a flight I'll consider going.....
March 13, 200817 yr They haven't said but I think I read that Matt's agent said it wasn't right for him at this time. Terence Maynard is doing it until the end of April. Maybe they'll ask Gareth to do it after the DOI tour in April. Gareth enjoyed his visit there watching Duncan and some of the ensemble work and he loved doing his Razzzle Dazzle routine. He's tall and handsome and he can certainly sing. I don't know if he's ever done or wanted to do any acting. The dance routines wouldn't trouble him either. It's whether he would do it. Now would be the time when a new single could re-launch his album. There are a couple of good tracks on there which would make follow-up singles.
March 13, 200817 yr gareth looks younger than matt! he looks about 13 to me, I can't see him tackling Billy
March 13, 200817 yr The stress of acting and controlling his speech would make it very difficult. If I thought Duncan came over as too boyish, I think Gareth would as well. I think Gareth's songwriting has come on so well, that and singing, playing his instruments point more to the future for him. I wouldn't want him to give up the singing either.
March 13, 200817 yr The trouble is that people expect those from reality TV to tour arenaswith dancers and pyrotechnics when that is actually the worst venue for any singer/songwriter because he/she needs to make a connection with his/her audience. Arenas to me are soulless. If someone high profile does small intimate venues, he/she gets scoffed at and you get all the "oh look what so and so has come down to" rubbish. There doesn't seem to be any understanding about matching venue to the music.
