March 13, 200817 yr It's a shame as Gareth would be so good in an accoustic set. Well, i think you may have noticed I prefer Darius that way as well.
March 13, 200817 yr Given Gareth's on off trouble with his stutter, I couldn't see him in the West End unless he was able to overcome it completely. I don't think he is suited to playing BF either because I don't feel the look would be right or that he would sound right for the songs. He has a very good voice, but not for BF IMO. How has his album sold, any figures anyone? I didn't like how he was shown in the documaentary, I felt they were purposely trying to show him up. The one wonderful thing in that was when he talked about his mum :) and how he didn't care who knew how much he loved her and how much she meant to him :)
March 13, 200817 yr I thought that was lovely - and he'll bring his children up to have the same love and respect for their mother.
March 13, 200817 yr The stress of acting and controlling his speech would make it very difficult. If I thought Duncan came over as too boyish, I think Gareth would as well. I think Gareth's songwriting has come on so well, that and singing, playing his instruments point more to the future for him. I wouldn't want him to give up the singing either. You know, hearing Gareth speaking so fluently recently because he's doing do well controlling his stammer, made me forget he had a problem. Now you mention it, towards the end of DOI, he was struggling with it again because he didn't get time to do the necessary exercises.
March 13, 200817 yr My brother still struggles - it's not something that just goes away if you don't think about it.
March 14, 200817 yr I'm sure someone told me that Gareth wrote Angel On My Shoulder as a tribute to his mother.
