Posted March 1, 200817 yr The fabulous Lloyd Wade! I've got to see this guy if he does any performances - what a huge personality and an even more huge voice! Norma
March 2, 200817 yr Author I thought llyod was just picked didnt think there was auditions Jason says he was talking to a voice coach (Natasha?) saying that they needed a 'featured' singer originally just for RMF and they wanted something different - so she suggested a bloke ... and that bloke was Lloyd. Yet later on in the 'commentary' extra - they mentioned auditions. I suppose he had to audition along with a load of others - but they had already made their minds up. Either way - he's a bit of a find! Norma
March 2, 200817 yr he was a great singer and did well with the song but o prefer the original they released with lulu
March 2, 200817 yr Author he was a great singer and did well with the song but o prefer the original they released with lulu That's what I love about TT though - they could play 'safe' Westlife style and just sing each song exactly the same as before - but they experiment with each and every version of the old stuff so that it stays fresh. I really did like the way they stripped Could It Be Magic back to the Manilow original - and I was surprised that Gary said that was the part he dreaded every night because so much could go wrong. He was partially right - on two occasions (both in Manchester I think) the Saturn Ring got stuck for about 10 minutes - with the dancers still on it! Have you watched the whole DVD yet? The extras area great! Don't fancy that ice-bath thing though. Norma

March 5, 200817 yr Author Short interview with Lloyd Wade - http://dutchtakethatfc.urbanpopspace.com/lloydwade.htm Norma
March 5, 200817 yr Author Thanks norma By the way ... he's none of those ages! He's actually 40 - but he does not look it. I thought he was in his early 30's. Norma
March 5, 200817 yr he doesnt looks 40 thats for sure and usually people who carry weight look older rather than younger but he bucked the trend
March 31, 200817 yr I got the impression there were auditions done for a Gnarls Barkley look alike, but they couldn't find anyone that they really liked. Then Lloyd was recommended to Jason by Jason's vocal coach and the rest is history! I read somewhere that Lloyd is 40 (I think he celebrated his birthday on tour) but on My Space he has himself down as 30, and certainly looks closer to 30 than 40. The mystery continues....
March 31, 200817 yr Author Either way ... he has a fabulous voice (I'd love to know if he does any shows) I'd certainly pay a lot to see him! I imagine he'd have a great personality for banter between songs too! Norma
