Simon Cowell has claimed that Britney Spears only has herself to blame for her recent personal problems.

The music mogul admitted that he no longer has any sympathy for Britney, and accused the star of courting the paparazzi.

"Britney has brought this on herself. I think she's manipulated the whole thing, like waving a pregnancy test at the cameras," Cowell told The Mirror. "I've heard she won't leave the house until there are enough photographers there.

"Even some of the biggest celebrities in the world manage to have a quiet life. Look at Tom Hanks, no one bothers him. So it is possible."

Simon also rubbished the singer's Blackout album and cast doubt on the future of her music career.

"I hated Britney's last album. That song 'Gimme More' sounded like a ringtone - it reminded me of that awful Crazy Frog song. Utter rubbish," he said. "She could well have had her last No.1. And certainly her last meaningful one."

He's so stupid.

He says he hates the whole album, when he only mentions one song. And he is currently mentoring Leon Jackson and Westlife.

'Nuff said. -_-

I can kind of see where he is coming from though..

However, I completely disagree with the album bit, the album is outstanding :D:D

I agree. He's not the first to think that Britney might be purposely attracting the paparazzi and the attention. In my opinion that could have been easily possible throughout last year and earlier on. This year I think it's a bit more obvious that she's not trying to attract as much attention on herself, and that she's trying to get better. At least her family is trying to make her well again.

As for the album, I also think he's wrong on that point. Blackout and the unreleased tracks that didn't make the album are probably some of the best, if not the best, tracks that she's done in her career. Yeah, Brit didn't take much part in writing them and her voice is probably altered in some of the songs blah blah. The album is very well done overall. Whatever, it's his opinion thinking the album is c**p. I think most of the artists he's helped or is currently managing in the music industry are pretty c**p. :P

He is making these judgements on a misinformed basis, without having any knowledge of her situation. So just like I would tell anyone who is going to the press and making negative comments about her, Shut the f*** up, and make critical judgements on your own personal life.

And secondly, I doubt he has even listened to her whole album.

I agree - Cowell seems to have an opinion about everyone except the people he's supposed to be interested in and looking after (hello, Leon!).

I think it is more than a bit rich & hypocritical of Simon Cowell.

He has a huge audacity to have a go at Britney when he himself is actively encouraging 14 year olds to enter X Factor.

Even Simon Fuller who is responsible for the Idol franchise has criticised Simon Cowell for it.

Britney Spears' problems are as a result of her being pushed into the entertainment/fame game way to early in her life. Therefore all she knows is how to entertain, and that includes "encouraging" the paparazzi with her behaviour because she has not had a proper childhood.

Little wonder she has grown up to be ****ed up like Michael Jackson.
