Posted March 1, 200817 yr The dolls released their brilliant 3rd single "Beep" which was beaten for the top spot by a novelty act but still became a huge hit all over europe & asia.It peaked at 13 in the usa. But was extremely overplayed too :) and oh the album had sold by then over 600k in the uk so far in february 27th. B) T7GSgyjGG8Y ACA3XLg-pDk jjOSDR0FhZs nmmBo9j49pY Chart performance "Beep" did not perform as well as the previous singles, "Don't Cha" and "Stickwitu", in the US which became Billboard top five hits. "Beep" performed slightly weaker reaching number thirteen, and was their first single, before "Wait a Minute" in 2007, to miss the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. "Beep" also performed poorly on the Canadian Singles Chart where it reached number forty-eight, and also underperformed on the Canadian BDS Airplay Chart, peaking at number forty-five. The single has performed better in other countries like the UK where it became the group's third consecutive top three hit, peaking at number two there, and selling around about 175,000 copies. "Beep" also performed well in Australia where it reached number three becoming their third consecutive top three hit there also. Meanwhile, "Beep" became a massive hit in New Zealand where it spent seven consecutive weeks at number one, and became the second highest selling single in New Zealand of the year 2006. "Beep" also reached number five in Germany and number seven in Austria and has also made the French top ten peaking at number ten. It reached number five on the United World Chart and it gained the number one spot in MTV (UK) Hits' "Top 100 Songs of 2006". "Beep" also achieved a top thirty position on the Australian 2006 end of year chart, coming in at number twenty-four. It was one of four PCD songs to reach the Australian end of year chart with the others being, "Stickwitu" (#29), "Buttons" (#17) and "I Don't Need A Man" (#55). Lead Vocals Nicole Scherzinger gets most lead vocals on this song. Melody Thornton & Carmit Bachar also get solos. Nicole gets to laugh at the end of all her parts along with group member Carmit Bachar. The reason why Melody Thornton does not get to laugh at the end of her part is due to the lack of different laughs that could have been used. Edited March 1, 200817 yr by Dinno
