The instrumentation is lovely... but her "voice" is completely unlistenable. When people described it as hideous I was sure they were just overreacting. They weren't.

so does anyone think that Milla Jovovich's album The Divine Comedy would be a better thing

Reading the thread back it seems like practically no one agrees with you... but I do! I listened to it again a few weeks ago and it's still a moody, magical album, it always puts me in a reflective mood. Her album with Pete Yorn just didn't compare at all.
