March 3, 200817 yr Brilliant band, really felt sorry for them at the Frequency Festival in Austria last year. Why on earth did the organisers put them between two German bands!!?. Edited March 3, 200817 yr by Marcus
March 3, 200817 yr http://www.ninwiki.com/2007/08/16_Salzburg,_Austria In case you don't know what happened ^^^
March 4, 200817 yr NIN are good, but nowhere near as good as Radiohead. =/ I'll probably download this in a bit.
March 4, 200817 yr WOW!!! Trent Reznor really is in the creative zone at the moment... I remember the days when an NIN album would have a 4 or 5 year gestation period  , now we get three albums in just over three years..... "Year Zero" was an astounding record, avant garde Industrial/Electronica which conceptually was impressive also... I just hope Trent aint sacrificing quality for quantity.... And, I have to disagree with most posters here, Radiohead and NIN are creatively on a par with each other without a doubt... I rate both as musical and conceptual equals....
March 13, 200817 yr Author why NIN free download is better than Radioheads by the man Trent Reznor himself: Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor has criticised the unconventional release of Radiohead’s album 'In Rainbows', dubbing it "insincere." Reznor’s comments come a week Nine Inch Nails released a set of instrumental tracks 'Ghosts I-IV' that included a similar free download option. Yesterday (March 12), the band’s website had processed 781,917 transactions, and had sold out of the 2,500 box sets being sold for $300, according to the Chicago Tribune. However, speaking on the subject of Radiohead to American TV Network ABC, Reznor said: "What they (Radiohead) did was a cool thing. But if you look at what they did, though, it was very much a bait and switch to get you to pay for a MySpace-quality stream. There's nothing wrong with that - I but don't see that as a big revolution [that]they're kinda getting credit for." Reznor added: "What they did right: they surprised the world with a new record, and it was available digitally first. What they did wrong: by making it such a low quality thing, not even including artwork ... to me that feels insincere." Unlike Radiohead after the release of ‘In Rainbows’, Reznor decided to make his album's sales figures public.
March 17, 200817 yr Author from NME.com Nine Inch Nails are inviting fans to create videos for the tracks on their new instrumental album 'Ghost I-IV'. Trent Reznor has teamed up with YouTube to host a 'film festival' for the album asking participants to make clips for the songs they feel most strongly about. A team including Reznor will then choose a select number of videos to be aired on the video-sharing site. In a statement on Nin.com Trent Reznor explained: "The concept is for you to take whatever tracks you feel inspired by from Ghosts… and create what you feel should accompany them visually." "This isn't a contest and you don't win elaborate prizes - it's meant to be an experiment in collaboration and a chance for us to interact beyond the typical one-way artist-to-fan relationship." March 26, 200817 yr why NIN free download is better than Radioheads by the man Trent Reznor himself: I broadly agree with what he's saying actually... Looking back at it, Radiohead should really have released it on at least 256kbps or 320kbps quality.... 192kbps does sound rather c**p when you compare it to the official "limited edition" release... The lack of artwork is also where I agree with Reznor....
