Posted March 4, 200817 yr well i dont know if theres anything in this... but its work a thought. theres a 9 year old little girl missing in wakefield (i think), been missing for nearly 2 weeks now. on the radio earlier a 12 year old had been abducted but thankfully got free, and apparently another 9 year old also had a similar experience (and again got away)... now im wondering IF theres any connection to the 'maddie' disappearance. im NOT saying the same person has done it... but.. to any p****, theyve seen that abducting children CAN be done, the mass media coverage still has brought no results regarding madeline mccann.. im wondering if the recent attempts are a direct result , pervs CAN get away with it..... meanwhile a 9 year old is still missing.
March 4, 200817 yr Hey rob. I'd say it's possible. It's possible the media is actually doing more harm than good by jumping on stories of abductions. Or maybe there haven't been more attempted abductions than before, but we're hearing more about it now because of the maddie thing. I'm sure there are people who look at that case and think 'hey maybe I can get away with it too'. But of course, not all WILL get away with it. But yeah, maybe more people are getting ideas from all this publicity. But the same oculd be said for anything - would there be so many kids going into schools in america and shooting their classmates if there wasn't so much coverage each time it happens etc. Sometimes I think the media is to blame for all the world's problems! -_- But if Shannon isn't found, that's going to add to this idea that these type of criminals can go undetected. Pretty scary!

Pretty scary! :o I recognised you! Also with the amount of media coverage that 9/11 had, there has been more terrorist attempts around the world. But any terrorists are attention seekers. I hope that little girl Shannon is found alive and well. I also hope Maddie will be found.

Pretty scary! Boo! xxx You have a very good point here actually, I don't think it's linked to the one person either. It would be more down to people trying to do the same. Anyway with Maddie I've totally lost the story with that one, I have no idea whats been happening cos they reported nothing but rubbish everyday so I just gave up.
