I can see now 2 storylines being repeated in it, first Danielle is being portrayed as Ruby because of the shy look and that she's friends with stacey and the Whitney & Tony storyline is just repeating Max & Stacey in a way. Ok It makes it look interesting but come on doing this makes it obviously predictable from word Go :o

the tony and tiffany storyline is nothing like the max and stacey storyline at all

the sneeky part is where bianca finds out :D

You mean Tony and Whitney! Tiffany is only 5!

yes whitney i meant

the spoliers i can never use right so did anyone see the spolers in todays sun newspaper??

Ummm the only problem so far with this storyline is that they've like come into it 3/4 of the way, it's like we've missed something.
I dont think thats a problem. I think its good.. we will learn about all the things that have happened previously in time I reckon.

Ooh Suzy Branning grew on me today.

I'd been looking forward to Maggie O'Neill joining, but to begin with Suzy was a let-down. All she seemed to do was waltz around in skin-tight clothing making some smart arse innuendo before leaving "mysteriously". Over and over and over agin. And the gold bar plot...RIDICULOUS.

But her near b**ch-fight with Peggy, and just standing there grinning whilst Peggy tries to shove her to the side...good fun. MORE.

Phil's face during the photo was FABULOUS.

the BBC/Eastenders are working with the NSPCC to try and tackle this subject and make people aware of the things that happen

^ I KNOW RIGHT! Ahah it's so annoying when you watch it and...he's just so ooft...but it feels so wrong on so many levels lol :(.

'EastEnders' abuse plot sparks complaints

Thursday, September 18 2008, 12:20 BST

By Sarah Rollo

A recent EastEnders plot following new character Tony King's relationship with his 15-year-old step-daughter has prompted more than 200 complaints.

Last Friday's episode showed King's (Chris Coghill) introduction to Albert Square after a year in jail and included a scene where he passionately kissed a seemingly consenting Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty). The storyline suggests that he manipulated her into a relationship before being sent to prison after being charged with ABH.

The BBC has confirmed that it has received 163 complaints, while broadcasting regulator Ofcom received 41. The pre-watershed episode was watched by eight million viewers.

The broadcaster said the plot had been created "in association with the NSPCC" and in accordance with its editorial policy.

A spokeswoman said: "EastEnders has a rich heritage of tackling difficult social issues, such as domestic violence and mental health."

They added: "Our current storyline about child abuse is another such issue which had been created in association with the NSPCC and in accordance with BBC editorial policy."

Some people are really mardy nowadays. Eastenders seem to get picked on the most about everything they do :(

Enders' Tony sets sights on new victim?

EastEnders' paedophile Tony King apparently attempts to groom another young victim.

Bianca's boyfriend, who is played by actor Chris Coghill, will soon tire of long-time victim Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty), reports the Daily Star.

So it seems he sets his sights on Lauren Branning, who is played by actress Madeline Duggan, 14.

However, the character does not manage to attack Lauren in the soap.

The Star quotes Chris as saying: "Unfortunately people like Tony do exist. This story happens and it's depressingly common."

The Tony and Whitney storyline has already prompted complaints to the BBC and broadcasting regulator Ofcom.

However, earlier this week a BBC spokeswoman said the child abuse storyline had been created in association with the NSPCC and in accordance with BBC editorial policy.
