DELTA GOODREM has entered the Australian Recording Industry's (ARIA) record books - after becoming the first artist to win 12 Number One Chart Awards. The Lost Without You singer landed two gongs at the ceremony on Thursday (06Mar08), which honours Australian recording artists who score number one hits on their home territory in the previous year (07). Other double winners at the Sydney event included Kylie Minogue, Missy Higgins and Silverchair. Pop sisters The Veronicas landed their first ARIA Number One Chart gong for Hook Me Up.

I think Almost Here did count, because I remember Delta getting 3 awards for 2005 (OOTB, AH & MI).

But I don't recall her ever going to the 2006 awards, let alone receive an award, so they possibly missed out the Visualise Tour DVD.

 

OK, I've just had a look at the ARIA website here, and it looks as though they have not awarded her any awards for her DVDs, which is odd.

So she got 4 in 2003 (BTT, LWY, IE & IE album), 3 in 2004 (IE album again, NMNI, Predictable), 3 in 2005 and 2 in 2007.

Note: don't look at that website for too long, and then come on here; the redness is too much and hurts my eyes. :P

Weird that IE album got the same award twice :lol: Kylie got 2 this year? I thought her album/ single missed out on the number one spot in Oz?
