March 6, 200817 yr This is amazing! Top ten for Germany this year I reckon. :D Very reminiscent of the Veronicas too. ^_^
March 6, 200817 yr This is amazing! Top ten for Germany this year I reckon. :D Very reminiscent of the Veronicas too. ^_^ If their vocals don't improve then they won't be ANYWHERE NEAR the top ten I'm afraid. At the moment I'm being reminded more of Non-Stop for Portugal in 2006.
March 6, 200817 yr Messy arrangement, not really keen on it to be honest, is this the German Band that is manufactured from a German Reality Series
March 7, 200817 yr Love this song! Glad its through for Germany...if they put in a good vocal performance on the night they should do well No Angels best song imo is the gorgeous Daylight In Your Eyes
March 7, 200817 yr I like the song - besides, one of the members of the group - Lucy Diakovska - is from Bulgaria :cheer:
March 7, 200817 yr Yep, the won the first series of German Popstars I think? I really like the song, but like ours, I'm not sure it's right for Eurovision - it could easily slip under the radar. As a song though, I love it!
March 7, 200817 yr I'm glad that more songs are being picked that 'aren't right for Eurovision' personally...who gets to define what is and isn't a 'Eurovision' song...the more unique the better I'm very happy that France, UK and Germany have all submitted songs that aren't typical Eurovision fare...if they fail then it will be a shame as its good to try something different

March 7, 200817 yr I'm glad that more songs are being picked that 'aren't right for Eurovision' personally...who gets to define what is and isn't a 'Eurovision' song...the more unique the better I agree with you in theory, but there are songs which "aren't right for Eurovision" which is good as it encourages variety, and then there are songs like Germany, Norway, possibly the UK, which fit under the bracker "too bland for Eurovision," which isn't good. I don't think Germany's song is unique at all....unique means it stands out, wheras this just gets lost in the background. I'd listen to it on my iPod as I do like the song, but I wouldn't vote for it at Eurovision (and the ropy vocals don't help. Maybe if they got 2 backing singers it would fare better). March 7, 200817 yr in the grand scheme of the contest I suppose France are one of the more experimental countries though their entry last year was more odd different than good different

It's not unique but its the first time this contemporary chart sound has been tried in the contest...I'd rather listen to this than Estonia which undoubtedly stands out but is that a good thing?
March 7, 200817 yr Just heard a rumor that they might be disqualified.. something about song plagiarism.. I dunno.. I don't speak German, just heard it on another forum. :manson:
March 7, 200817 yr Love this song  However the blonds vocals were awful live until the later part of the song.
March 8, 200817 yr There is a little funny story about the Danish songwriter who wrote the German winning song: Aparantly he had no idea that he had sent in songs for the German selection! We have an article about it at EuroVisionary: http://www.eurovisionary.com/node/538 How many times have a songwriter had two songs in a national final without knowing anything about it - and not even knowing that he had sent in songs? :) Charlotte www.eurovisionary.com
March 11, 200817 yr And now it is No Angels turn to be accused of plagiarism... A German radio station is accusing it of being a copy of Steffi List's Breaking the silence.. Danish songwriter, Remee however turns it the other way around as his song is older than hers... http://www.eurovisionary.com/node/556 - here you can compare the two songs and judge for yourself.
March 16, 200817 yr i like the song but don't think it achieves big positions! Edited March 16, 200817 yr by smile_paul
