I've heard it before. It's about as rocky as I've heard her... but I'd still loosely put it in pop. I can understand why people wouldn't though. But to me, Pop music has such huge horizons (that's not the word I want but I don't know what is!), it can be influenced by so many other genres, it doesn't stop it from being pop music though. Last years top 3 singles in the UK were 'Bleeding Love', 'Umbrella' and 'Grace Kelly'. They're not entirely my thing but are all hugely different and good in their own ways. They're all influenced by so many different styles and artists but in the end they're all pop songs. Pop music is so broad, it's incredible, that's the beauty of pop music. Though since SAW and then the cheesefest that was the late 90s people seem to want to label things as anything other than pop...

it's simple... if you don't know her and her music you can say whatever you want bt it won't mak any difference to us..you know like...ignoring you perhaps...?

I never understood why Umbrella got into any charts. In my opinion it's heap of *clears troat* SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH**********TTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

To me, Umbrella is Pop. I hate the fact that people call Rihanna a RnB artist just because she's black, take 'Shut Up And Drive', nothing RnB about that.

And yes, of course. Like Ana with her various influences, it may be rnb influenced and rap (the hideous Jay Z :puke:) but overall its mass appeal, influence and sales means its a pop song!
