Sorry if this is posted elsewhere - but sadly, the newsreader Carol Barnes has lost her fight for life. A fantastic woman and brilliant professional.

I heard about this, a shame I liked her reading the news.

I was saddened to hear the news. I don't think she ever got over the death of her daughter a few years ago.
