Goodness knows where the original thread topic is...

Zoe is back as Jamie Summers, in a remake of the Bionic Woman just for 8 episodes from Tuesday, might take a pew at it, but it clashes with my favourite TV series CSI

There's no offical word from NBC whether it's been cancelled yet. It still might be picked up next year (although this is very likely since the ratings dropped something like 60% from the premiere to the 8th episode!). Just depends on what the new pilots are like.

The adverts look GREAT for this, always been a fan of Michelle Ryan too so I will definitely be watching. ITV are pumping a lot of money into the promotion of this too, i've seen it on billboards, TV, side of bus stops, the lot! :o
What's going on with this? How come it's only 8 episodes? Surely it would be 24 or so

Only 8 episodes were completed before the writers' strike and it's very unlikely that show will come back because of the ratings in the US and how much it would cost NBC to re-launch the show.

I've seen a few episodes of it and I do think it's quite good. Very suprised at how much the US have taken a disliking to it! Especially since it opened up with very strong ratings.

Oh, that's a real shame, it looks great. :( I hope they do take a chance on it and then just promote heavily or something.

Michelle Ryan is answering Radio Times' one final question in the current issue. She says about the series being recommisioned:

Q: Are you worried Bionic Woman will be cancelled?

A: To get six months on air - or even the three that we did - is an achievement. To have a hit show that runs for years...the likelihood is one in a million. So I kind of feel I've won. The show has so much potential. It's had creative changes; some things didn't work, but in launching a TV show, that's all part of the process. And if we go back, everyone will go back with renewed enthusiasm.

Bionic has been life changing, in that for so long I felt like I had something to prove and now I don't really have that any more. No matter what happens - even if I end up walking away - it's all good.

So at least she's cool with the situation. B)

I really want to watch it, but I wont LMAO.

Its on at the same time as Hotel Babylon, which I miss for nothing LOL

I liked this show alot, but I only watched the first episode.

I downloaded all eight episodes of this, and frankly, I thought it was pretty pathetic... I kept waiting for something to actually happen (there was always this vague threat that something interesting was bubbling under the surface...), but it just never happened, yet another one of these "shadowy, quasi-Govt secret agencies" sub-plots (We've all seen the "X-Files" guys...YAWN...). I found Michelle Ryan an utterly bland, uninspiring heroine, in direct contrast to Katee Sackhoff who has a screen presence and an expressive acting style that completely blasted Ryan off the planet.... Similarly Isiah Washington's character was another which seemed a damn sight more interesting than the actual heroine herself.... In the 'Battle of the Cyborg' stakes, "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" wins hands down over "Bionic Woman" IMHO....

Nope, sorry, file with the new "Knight Rider" pilot under "big pile o' sh!te" (GAWD, dont even get me started on the excrutiating awfulness of that bloody waste of Hard Disk space..... -_- ).

I'm going to watch it because I'm curious to see what changes they've made. I quite liked Lindsay Wagner's original. I wasn't too keen on the actress in the film

You'll be praying for Lindsay Wagner to come back and just take over the show once you see the blank, expressionless Michelle Ryan attempt the part.....  Or else be rooting for Katee Sackhoff to kick her arse into the middle of next Thursday.....

Not impressed. I lost concentration and let it play in the background.

I'll give it another week now that they've introduced the characters.

I enjoyed the b**ch fight on top of the rooftop, actually I prefer the original, its 10 times better, and I had to miss my favourite TV series tonight CSI (luckily the episode gets repeated tomorrow) just to see what I be missing.

Dialogue on Jamies part was horrible tbh. She didnt really have much to say. My guess is cos of the accent :P

i liked it though. Shame theres only 8 episodes :(
